Very, very brief bio as I prefer revealing stuff IC, but it's a start. I was trying to think of the elemental properties of Ifrit as well while writing it. Also, if we're going with an urban setting I imagine it as some kind of authoritarian dystopian. Maybe that's overdone though. She also tends to be cocky and a bit of a show off. This is also manifested in her desires to excel at every single skill she tries; if she doesn't get it right the first time then she will not touch it again. Naturally, she also possesses quite a fighting spirit so when faced with the option of using brains or brawn, she almost always choses brawn. This isn't to say she isn't intelligent, however. In fact, she has a high intelligence level that allows her to exceed in magic and spellcasting, her main discipline. [b]Skills:[/b] Serafina is gifted in the arcane arts, particularly spells pertaining to the element of fire. She is yet to discover why this is, but she feels naturally attuned to it and learns to cast such spells with relative ease. However, ice spells she has extreme difficulty trying to cast and actually has an ingrained fear of them. They also run a risk of seriously harming her, being an element she's extremely susceptible to. To counter this, she does have a natural resistance to fire. [b]Gear:[/b] Being mostly a magic user, Serafina carries very little. Her main item of interest is a small extendable staff used to aid her in her spellcasting. Aside from this she also carries a small set of healing items. [b]Background:[/b] Serafina is what one could consider to be a problem child. Due to her fiery personality she had a hard time making friends and often got into trouble by her peers. She was the one who always wanted to show off and get ahead of others. Realizing that this was only causing trouble for the young Serafina, her parents decided to keep her at home. This was where she eventually began developing her interest in magic. One day a fire of unknown origins ravaged through Serafina's neighbourhood. While most residents had managed to evacuate a few had been left behind. Realizing they were trapped, they thought they were going to die. However, subconsciously Serafina found herself drawn to this fire. Much to the dismay of her parents she began walking straight for it. Upon reaching it she walked inside, realizing for the first time it affected her very little. Using her newfound ability, Serafina managed to retrieve those who had been trapped. Serafina became somewhat of a hero seemingly overnight and with her parents realizing what sort of abilities their daughter had, they initially vowed to keep her hidden, fearing the government would gain interest in it. However, this didn't stop the ambitious Serafina. Her interest in magic continued and despite being under their watch her did continue her studies. Not being able to cast ice elemental spells did bring about frustration, but this was quickly overcome by her skills elsewhere.
