Aye lad, good ta' have yer on board.

We got muskets, we got steam-powered ships, we got canons, we got axes, and we probably got us some other contraptions of that nature too, like steam-powered tanks, and crude Gatling-type affairs. 

So ya, an engineer would be fittin' just fine.
