So age disparity is not something I had originally considered, but in case of your character I feel it would be somewhat appropriate if you required such a device. Feel free to implement something like this if it helps you. 
The real waking memories would be a good thing to have as a reference, I read through your memory sequence like four times when you first posed the sheet, it melted my eyes. :)
