But he didn’t need to, at the sounding of the instructions. He didn’t desire a roommate – the notion made him rather uncomfortable – but before the day had begun, Ruben had told him that his normal sleeping quarters (a storage closet) would be occupied by new supplies. So he would have to face the action for this year. He was resentful, but it didn’t show. He kept his hood up and his camera tucked close as the line progressed. Some eyed him, but by now, the shock of his appearance had died down plenty. Which he was thankful for. Eventually, he was the next one present at the front of the congregation. The receptionist merely nodded and handed him his key. “Your roommate for this year will be Mason Crawford.” She said to him. [sub]“Mason…”[/sub] Harmon muttered in a hush, clutching his key. [sub]“Mason… Crawford…”[/sub] He turned away from the desk and made his way back through the crowd, repeating his new roommate’s name in his head all the while. He had the sinking suspicion he wasn’t going to enjoy this. Time will tell if he’s right or wrong.
[@Tyler]
