Aya nearly fell over when Jake latched onto her shirt and tried to tug her away. Regaining her footing, she nodded at him, understanding his meaning enough. It was time to go. But then a voice rang through the air that froze the blood in her veins. She recognized that voice. She still heard it when she slept at night. Sebastian. But before Aya could react, she felt the familiar grip of blood trapping her, the smell of iron thick in the air. She cried out, more on reflex than pain, though she could feel the bruises quickly reforming on her skin. They'd only just faded away, too. That was a shame. She was helpless as she watched Sebastian murder the people around her. Faces that she'd only just started to become familiar with twisted in agony and terror before the life left them entirely. Sebastian's voice was always there, taunting. Promises of death lingered and Aya felt feer quickly growing inside of her, overwhelming any thoughts aside from how she and the people around her were all going to die. "Stop, stop!" she shouted, frantic. Fear threatened to close her throat, trapping her "Let them go!" Aya knew she was in no place to make any demands. Hell, even begging would probably be useless against Sebastian, but this was the only thing she could think of. "I let you live - you owe me." She forced all the fake confidence she could manage into her shaking voice, but Aya had always been a terrible liar. She didn't dare turn her face away from Sebastian, but her eyes darted to Jake and back. She hated that he was in this mess too, but if nothing else having him around had been a comfort this past week, and even now centered her if just the tiniest bit. She was startled then as the Owlman dove down, piercing through the massive mound of blood, carrying away a few lucky survivors who had been trapped inside. [@subject zero] [@raijinslayer]
