Aya screamed at the carnage unleashed below her. Screaming, sobbing, muted gurgles as people succumbed to the acid in the blood cut through all else, and still there was that horrible whispering ringing in her ears. The air was heavy with the smell of blood and rot. Oh god, was Owlman gone? She was helpless as Sebastian placed her in front of him like a human shield to ward off Jake and Ariadne. He spoke in that drawl of his and she wanted to scrub her skin clean of him when she felt his breath on the back of her neck. He was too close. But then she actually started listening to what he was saying. Beneath all the fear, all the nightmares rushing in her mind, Aya felt something snap inside of her. "Nothing – nothing personal? Are you kidding me!?" Her trembling voice was growing shrill and taking on a slightly manic edge. "You tortured me! It's because of you I had to uproot my life and I haven't gotten any sleep in a week!" Aya fought fruitlessly against the blood holding her – she was strong, but not nearly as strong as Jake. "They didn't kill these people – you did." But he wouldn't be here to kill them if Aya'd just been stronger a week ago, would he? The guilt was as crushing as the horror, but her rage managed to push through that if just for a moment. "You're the one who belongs in a cage!" Aya threw her head back then, butting him in the face. And in that moment Aya and Sebastian snapped into the astral plane. With no one to control the blood, it fell away, like red rain falling on a gruesome scene. Two empty bodies fell with it. [@raijinslayer] [@subject zero] [@gentlemanvaultboy] [@pirouette]
