I guess you and Machine's characters could go together, Esailia's got her entourage, and who does that leave, other than Silver and I? Incubus and Shadowman, right? I'm not forgetting anybody, am I?

I wasn't going to make people go with each other, but - not sure if Esailia, you agree with this or not - but from a practical POV, having one member of the fire team go with each pair of GEAR pilots makes sense, as they'd have more urban combat experience. Also, it gets them interacting with the pilots a lot more, so we have more of a chance to talk to them and find out about them. And talk to each other, too, hopefully.
But if you guys would like to team up with anyone in particular, then yell out.

It was a good post, I liked it.

I'll get an IC post up later today or tomorrow to keep things moving. I'll have to get my thinking hat on for this one - I'll need to make sure you all have plenty to bounce off of to keep this one going and make it interesting. Also expect a lot of description of the town, too, since it's first one we've had a chance to go to.

Post is up with leads for you all to follow in your respective teams. I'll let you all react, and then put up posts after each team has had a go. I deliberately split people up into random groups - the intention being to get everyone talking to each other. Es, I also left the fireteam behind for that reason - it gives Es (the character) more of a chance to get to know and work with some of the GEAR pilots, instead of being in your own little cell as normal.
Hopefully this will move relatively quickly - I have ideas about how it will go, and how it'll lead into our next big action scene, and then into our next mission, too.
I also hope there'll be a chance for a bit more light-heartedness; I think we could use some to break things up.
I also intend for us to get some more heroic and kick-ass action in shortly too. It's getting a bit too grim-and-gritty at the moment.

I had already intended to split the squad up and fade to black till something came up. As in our posts, Machine and I are on the hunt for meds too, which was the thing I was gonna send the squad on while Esailia focused more on the real mission. I know Machine will be writing up something about trying to find meds too, and thus is why I was going to fade to black my squad.

But that works too.

Well, it's as I always say - if I don't know about it, I can't plan for it. If you guys had let me know, then I would've written it into the post, so you could have followed it up. I had already planned the mission as it is in the post, so I'll be proceeding that way. I'll try and write in some of the elements you've mentioned as we go on though.

If you ask me, this "complication" makes things even more interesting, since Aidan will have to get the drugs without Michael noticing his dubious behavior... which will be particularly hard, my mutt can be just as inconspicuous as a polar bear strolling through a McDonald's restaurant.
