The Summery

The cat clans of New Petersburg live a hard life in the big city; having to constantly compete for food and fight off rogues, stray dogs and much more. There are five clans in the city and each has a section of the city as their territory. DarkClan lives in the underground subway system and some of the sewers. They are a clan that is used to living in darkness and only on occasions go to the surface world. Some say that because of their life in the clan's dark territory, they are able to blend into the shadows and attack their enemies with great speed. GrassClan lives in West Side Park and do not have to deal with as much trash from humans like the other clans. Their territory is abundant in prey, but they have had problems with stray dogs and hawks that make parts of the park their home. They consider themselves the noblest of the city clans but the other clans think that they are very arrogant. The third clan is WaterClan who live on the beach and boardwalk of New Petersburg. They are great swimmers and fishers who get most of their food from the waters of the sea. SunClan's territory is the downtown area of the city where the bright lights of buildings make it seem like it is still daytime despite it being night. Because of the lights and noises, the cats of SunClan have dens in obscure parts of their territory that don't have as many lights. Because they live the closest to human, SunClan cats have to worry about Animal Control as well as rogue cats. The fifth clan is MoonClan, their territory is in the North side of New Petersburg. Although the ground is part of their territory, they live mostly on the roofs of the buildings in the beautiful neighborhoods and hunt birds for food. Once every month the clans meet in the city's famous rose garden and discus clan matters. The clans of New Petersburg live a life that is both similar and very different from the traditional forest clans.



Clan Ranks
The five clans have different ranks for cats with specific talents, but all cats regardless of rank are made warriors when they get to a certain age. Apprenticeship starts when a kit is five moons old and they are given an adult cat to mentor them. Healers are somewhat like Medicine Cats but they do not regularly have visions from their ancestors, and they do not need to perform a spiritual ritual to become a Healer. Fighters are the most talented for fighting and leading raids on other clans' territory. Guardians patrol the clan’s borders and protect them from attacks of all sorts. The Hunters are charged with the task of finding pray and usually have cats with the best senses of smell. Finally the Leader is the head of the clan, he/she decides what is best for their clanmates but it is a common practice to have clan meetings to hear what the clan wants or if there are any matters that need attending to. Follow my rules and what I say goes since I am GM. if you have a problem then tell me

No power-playing or having your character be invincible.

Special powers are not allowed; this rp is about relations between the clans and the hardships and conflicts that come with life.

It is not required for your character to have a clan like name like Thunderclaw.

No arguing in the OOC or Interest Check and be respectful.

If you are interested in joining this rp then i expect dedication to the rp by posting at the very least once a week.

No one line or sentence posts, try to make it one paragraph.

If you want to have your character be a leader, then ask me so I can reserve the position for you.

Characters who are rogues and house pets are allowed, and depending how the story goes I might allow another clan to be created just for the sake of bringing a plot element to the roleplay.

When she did join, she wasn't fully accepted. Even the leader was wary when asking her to join the clan.

Personality: Calm, soothing and fair, she is a motherly type, in spite of having no kits of her own. When ignited, however, her temper is as fierce as the crashing waves of the harshest storms. She is not a cat to take lightly the harming or trifling with of her clan.

Skill:She notably wise and good at seeing potential in her clan as well as is a skilled fighter. Secondary is her skill as a swimmer, the skill learned and prided by all in her clan.

History: Shimmerstar was born to the offspring of a previous Water Clan leader. From a young age she showed aptitude for learning, swimming, and for fighting. At five moons she was apprenticed to the fighter considered the most skilled and most likely to grow her talents. However, a few moons later, during a raid he was grievously wounded and rendered no longer able to fight. At that point, the leader at the time chose to take over her training until she was made a Warrior of the clan. Throughout this time, Shimmerstar chose to continue with traditional naming patterns: Shimmerkit, Shimmerpaw, and Shimmersea. She served her clan to the best of her ability and was often held up as an example to Water Clan cats. She was always grateful for the wisdom and training she took in from the previous leader and used them constantly. At last, she was named the successor to leading the clan and eight moons later, she found herself the new leader of Water Clan.

Other: It is not entirely commonly known among her clan, but to the few that do know, the only regret that Shimmerstar has is the fact she feels she cannot take a mate and have her own litter of kits. However, she loves her clan too much to step down and feels her duty and attentions belong to them.

If he had someone to care for he would be firmly loyal and caring as well as severely protective. While on his own, he is wary of others and always ready to fight himself out of a corner if needed.

Skill:Stalking and fighting. Both skills combined make him a great scavenger and a decent hunter.
History:He keeps his history to himself, but he is the reason for several “wild leopard-cat” spottings around the city. He is fast and elusive, always evading the twoleg animal catchers.

Personality: Friendly and fair, Splashcloud is an easy tom to get along with. Being so young, he can sometimes be arrogant, but always tries to be thoughtful about his decisions before rushing into trouble. He has no qualms about the other Clans, due to him being half GrassClan, and easily makes friends with cats from the other groups. Because of his prudence, he is often put into groups with the more headstrong cats, to easily balance out personalities. While Splashcloud is always open to negotiation, he will fight if it comes down to it, though he's not exactly the best offense around.

Skill: Splashcloud is a wonderful hunter, but lacks in the fighting department. Splashcloud is also wonderful at making peace between cats, and is, as is expected, an alright swimmer. He's got GrassClan in him, and is also accustomed to hunting out in fields.
History: Splashcloud's mother was a WaterClan she cat, his father, a GrassClan tom. Prior to joining Waterclan, Splashcloud's mother had left to join Grassclan with his father. When the relationship received pressure from the fact that Splashcloud's mother was not a Grassclan cat, both parents took off to make a life of their own. But, not before Splashcloud's mother entrusted her favorite kit to her sister in Waterclan. Splashcloud remembers very little of his parents, and has only ever had Streampelt, his aunt, to look up too. He barely remembers his siblings, if he even has any, and only remembers his mother's scent. Streampelt has often said he looks like his mother. Splashcloud also remembers some of his time in Grassclan, though not much. He was just recently made into a Hunter from apprenticeship, and so is new to the "adult" world of cats.
Other: It is likely he has two other siblings that he remembers very little about.

Personality: One tough cookie! Twotone is all about being headfirst and seeing what the world is about. History: Twotone was one of the kits left behind by Splashcloud's mother and father. But rather than being given to WaterClan, her father insisted she stay with Grassclan, While the Clan is content to keep her half clan status a secret from the others, there are a few members that will constantly tease her about it. Unlike her brother, Twotone knows exactly who Splashcloud is; she's been told many times over and over again by the cat who remember her parents. She's a recent apprentice made fighter, like her brother, and is young and new to the world of grown ups. In many ways, she still acts like an apprentice, but does her best when told too.
Other: Her brother is Splashcloud, though he is unaware of it.

Gold is currently neutral. At your preference or the plotline he could sway either direction, though he has a penchant for good with the loyal and caring nature common even among Servals. His current goal is to find his niche and survive.

Savannah cats are actually a domestic breed. Licensed breeders breed certain types of housecats with wild Servals to create the F1 savannahs, while F2-5 are bred Savannah-to-housecat. While not as common as havannah browns, persians and other expensive breeds, the are actually just as much housepets as the others. They're high energy and (funfact!) they can even be trained to walk on a leash and play fetch. He's an escapee from a pet-owner or a licensed breeder.

Appearance: A large, towering black tomcat with bits of gray dusting on his fur which helps break up a defined figure in the darkness and makes it near impossible to spot him aside from his bright yellow eyes.

Personality: Smokestack is an old, one of the oldest and most active members within the small group known as Darkclan described as a relaxed and aloof cat, he shows little age when it comes to energy. Although he appears kind and has a respectful way of communicating Smokestack feels little sympathy for any other clan but his own. To his clanmates he is a strong and proud warrior but to other clans he would steal the prey from their mouths without a second thought. With more fights under his belt than most cats he runs into, Smokestack knows the city and it knows him. This has been his home for ages, specifically the sewer system and its ever consuming darkness. The overpowering stench of human feces and the constant battling with sewer rats leaves Darkclan with rather poor conditions but this is where he thrives, if an opponent was foolish enough to enter this domain they would soon regret it.

Being the sole survivor, Smokestack fought from day one and crawled into the sewer. Within a week he had fought off enough rats to feed himself and had grown accustomed to the darkness before any Darkclan member found him. Believed to be one of their own, they adopted him without question and from then on he has worked his way up.
