On the day of the purge he was at his local gym doing reps with his buddies. Everything was going just fine until something hit Rory's stomach. He had to use the bathroom, and stat. Shortly after he had found his way to the toilet the power suddenly turned off. He cursed under his breath, this meant he would probably have to go home now, and this was how he spent the last of his time at the gym today, on the toilet. It wasn't long before he noticed for a power outage it was awfully quiet. Usually there would be murmurs, and some women who would give a high pitched squeal. He finished up in the restroom and walked back out into the gym. There was nobody around. He was confused as to what was happening and tried calling out for someone. But no one answered. That's when he stepped outside of the gym and looked around. Nobody. At this point in time more things had raced through Rory's mind than ever had before. Questions about what was happening and how this would be resolved, where did everyone go, when will the power turn back on. He made his way back to his house that day and on the way realized he may be one of the last few people, if any, on earth. When he reached home there was no power. Immediately he began going through his refrigerator. Eating what may be his last refrigerated meal. Rory didn't know what was going on but there were two things he did know. One was how to survive, and the other was fitness. He knew what his body needed to keep it's shape, and what workouts he could do anywhere to maintain his body. With this information he went out searching for supplies. He grabbed a shopping cart and began hitting up all of the health stores in town to get as much non perishable supplements as possible. He knew food would be scarce unless you harvested it yourself now. All the refrigerated food would go bad and there would be nothing left. At first Rory stayed close to home, creating meals out of dietary supplements and what canned and other non perishable food items he could find. Using filtered water to make powdered milk, and other powdered and dried foods. He managed to maintain but that's all he did. There was no more forward motion, no more progression. It was time to push forward, try to find someone. Because what was the point in doing all of this if he was the only person left? After a week of not exploring he decided it was time to explore the city and see if he could find anyone else. As he explored he saw no signs of anyone nearby. Eventually he found his way into a group of people who were hiding out in the mall. Which was a smart idea, they have everything you could ever want. When Rory was first introduced it was speculated as to whether or not they should allow him to join their little group. The question of how much this guy ate arose. Men of his size had larger diets, especially as fit as he is. After talking it over they decided to let him stay because of his physical prowess, on the condition that he doesn't eat all of their food.
