You're thinking about just seeing these events from the outside which I think is better, or from first person, like Noboyuki is "in" the body of Rena and vise versa. Also what I got planned for Rena's half didn't actually happen, pretty much made up by her unconscious, so keep that in mind for Noboyuki.
