Jaden Jaden chuckled at Jenni's offer to help. What he needed wasn't something she could provide, sadly, but he still appreciate the offer. "I'm fine, really, just had a bit of a bad week you could say.' When Isabella talked about her plan to send the new recruit against Alto Ganze, Jaden couldn't help but frown. She was really going to waste time antagonizing a neutral party, just to kidnap some guy for whatever petty reason she'd concocted instead of focusing on the bigger threat that was bearing down on them every second of every day. What had he ever seen in this woman, and why did it have to take his world falling apart to see just how petty she was. Jaden turned away from Isabella and walked deeper into the complex, the shadows seeming to envelop him in his own personal nightmares. Each branching corridor down this seemingly never ending hallway held a mirror, and in each mirror he could see himself. but as he walked further down, he began to change. it was barely noticeable at first, his skin becoming paler as his walk progressed, but it soon began to spread and whiten at an incredible pace. His eyes became red spheres in a pool of darkness, his teeth fangs, horns sprouting from his head, blackened claws sprouting from his fingers. He felt his heart beating in a wild staccato rhythm, his loping stride had become an all out sprint, and yet the hall, giving him no escape from the monster he perceived in the mirror. The monster he knew he would become before long. And then, just like that, he was back in the courtyard again jumping slight with a start. A dream. . it had all been a dream. He needed sleep, but he knew what it would bring. More nightmares, they had been happening for the past two days, at they were really starting to get to him. The hallway was one he'd had a couple times before, yet every time he was in it. it felt like the first. Jaden sighed, clutching his head in pain as he sat down again, leaning against the wall. What is happening to me. . . was I really so fragile that one bit of bad news sends me into lunacy like this. Damn it all, I wish I could just get one good night's sleep again. Just once, with no nightmares, no waking up every 5 minutes at the slightest noise, just a full night of uninterrupted sleep. Damien Damien yawned as he arose from his bed, the lights coming on with a clap as he did so. He stretched a little as he made his afternoon coffee, feeling like the dead as he turned on the news. Apparently the reformist HQ was under attack, though the news crews were unsure on the specifics on the account of them wanting to live and staying the fuck away. Damien, on the other hand, could only sigh and thank god that Insomnium was still too out of it from his use of Aphosis to see this. Reaching into his pants from where they laid across a chair, he pulled out his phone and sent a quick text to Alto.
Hey Alto, seems like some shits going down at Reformist HQ, want me to head there and scope out the scene, see if there's anyway we can make some money off of this. Not much info to go from the news crews currently at the site
Once he had sent the, he went back to drinking his coffee, wondering just how bad the attack was. It's probably nthing to serious, maybe a few casulaties here and there, but they should be A-Okay. It's not like the Underground Movement have some sort of Super Meta on hold or something right. [@RoflsMazoy]
