Finally, some movement. Jake fought the compulsion to run as he waited for the others to get their crap together. He watched Ariadne move off with Owlman over her shoulder and felt a twinge of empathy for the owl. He was as close to death as anyone Jake had ever seen and yet he managed to cling to life. Maybe the owl was tougher than Jake thought. When Aya approached and offered a hand to the girl, Jake noticed her give Aya another wide eyed stare. Like Jake, Aya too was covered in blood and it seemed the girl may have been frightened by the entire situation rather than just Jake. That actually made sense and Jake wondered why he hadn't thought about that before. The girl tentatively put her hand in Aya's and seemed to calm at least slightly. Jake knew that she was probably in shock. No one should ever have to see anything like what had happened here today, let alone someone so young. She would probably be scarred for life. When Aya led the girl away from the horrific scene, following after Ariadne, Jake trailed along behind. But the dog stopped and turned back to look at Spectrum as though looking for approval. He hated to leave him here alone to deal with the brat but he knew he had to get the girls and the owl out of here. [@c3p-0h] [@Pirouette] [@Weird Tales] [@Savato] [@GentlemanVaultBoy]
