"While we don't have an established plot, there definitely needs to be some established background and setting elements. For the setting itself, I think that using a a city like the city in the beginning of Final Fantasy X would probably be the best place to establish this rp. So, imagine basically a slightly more futuristic NYC, with magic and science working together to make things possible. The government is a democratic government that runs a country roughly the size of the North America, and currently it's in peace times, 5 years prior reaching an agreement with the neighboring country for a cease fire and shortly after a peace treaty. These two countries are the major super powers of the world, so having them working in peace is beneficial to the entire world."

As this paragraph states, there isn't a specific story as of yet, just that something evil is most likely going to be after those with summon spirits, and it's up to our characters to do what they can to stop said evil, and it will be taking place in the major city of the nation described here. Besides this basic main plot, there will probably be side plots involving the straining tensions between said nations, and maybe even a whole war story arc going on. In other words, there is nothing set in stone, but a lot of possible stories to write within the RP. So, having a CO-GM would be nice to help me direct everything.

And depending on how you write your character, yojimbo may or may not work. See, a theme I was hoping for (which Jannah got) was that the characters would act in a way that would make them more like their summons. Alexander is often depicted as a fortress, so the closed/defensive personality goes to my character. Ifrit is a fire summon, so Jannah's character has a short temper/fiery personality. So basically, a character with Yojimbo as their spirit would probably need to be driven by money more than anything else
