Casper Twins
Ariadne shot a very nasty look behind as she felt an umbrella point slap her side. Camille would have never seen it due to Owlman's body being the way but the point remained that she did not take orders well. She had already been denied the pleasure of ridding the world of another guilty soul and now she was being robbed of her pride. Following the orders of a snotty brat. If it wasn't for a flicker and a noise coming from a nearby screen, Ariadne might have just dropped Owlman to indulge in a more primal act. Ariadne had not cared for the things displayed on that screen. A man's death was nothing to her. That ragged thing behind the man had not frightened her, either.--~-- But for Ann, she turned away too late as she watched Cedric's head snapped. "Oh... no." She felt like just breaking down and crying about the loss of someone who had taken her in. But that helped reverberate a message that had already been planted in Ann's mind. The Reformists are done... "They can't even protect their own.". With Cedric's death, leader of the Reformists, that notion was seeming more and more real. She felt awful that she was really considering the little girl's offer now, but all Ann wanted to do was live. Camille's words spooked her out of Ann's state of disarray. Judging from the desperation in her voice... it sounded like things were going to get a lot worse. "O-okay..." Ann quivered in response to Camille. "Ariadne, take lead." Ann managed to say with a sudden strength. In response, Ariadne shuffled Owlman's awkward body and picked up her pace to a light jog, just the right speed for everyone It wasn't so much out of fear but for the sake Ann. Meanwhile, Ann circled around and floated right behind Aya. She was hobbling along, and assisting a little lizard girl, and she looked like she needed help. "I'm sorry if this feels cold but I think we need to hurry.." With that, she snuck her solidfied arms under the lizard girl's armpits and scooped her up off the ground by a few feet. "Jake, I hope you can help Aya. I'll get her to safety." She said, plastered with worry written on her face. Then she began flying behind Ariadne, keeping somewhat of a pace with her sister. She turned her gaze back and saw that Spectrum was trying to halt Camille and while Ann felt concerned for her rather new "friend", she had more of obligation to see Aya, the lizard girl, and Jake to sanctuary rather than Camille. So she pressed on.

Sweet Honey

"Everyone, I hope I have not failed you." Crrrrick! The old tube television went silent for a moment as it panned up to a horrid-looking figure. Then it cut out, suddenly blaring a monotone sound and a multicolored error screen. After about a tenth of a minute, it reconnected to the San Franciscan Local News Station. The anchors, a man and a woman, looked mortified and stunned at first but somehow they managed to regain composure. The man spoke first. "W-we are sorry for that interruption and the disturbing images you may have just saw. We'll be back after a short break." A commercial featuring the Charmin Ultra Bear suddenly appeared on screen..
The gathering inside the small Make-Your-Own-Yogurt shop had grown quite significantly over the course of a Breaking News session that involved the Meta Reformist Head Quarters being under attack. Everyone inside was quiet and still for a moment after the commercials came on before the viewers erupted into flurry of questions, comments, concerns, and positions about what was happening. "Oh my God that's awful!" - "Who would do such a thing?" - "All those poor people..." - "I've been saying it for awhile now but recognizing those damn Metas was a mistake! It caused all that fighting!" Yet despite the grim reports, they all seemed to be smiling and happy as if they were glad. Some even mentioned their surprise that they weren't feeling anything. "W-why do I feel happy about this?" Someone said in amazement. Everyone there was good at hiding whether or not they were Meta as some murmurs of agreement could be heard. Little did they know, a Meta was among them. Watching the broadcast towards the back was a very odd woman. She looked a bit dirty but very pretty. Most people ignored her as the hippie culture lived on in San Francisco and most didn't bother themselves with that type. Death is such a horrible thing. All those people dying for no reason. Honey Day thought in grief as many other people around her appeared to be having the best day of their lives. Unintentional, probably. Without ordering anything, Honey Day left the yogurt shop and walked down the street a little bit pondering the situation just south of her. The very thought of attacks and killing was just baffling to her, especially over Meta Powers, which Honey naively thought were all about promoting life rather than taking it. As she rounded a corner, she found a few of her acquaintances gathered around an old Volkswagon Van, still committed to the image of being Hippie. They all appeared oblivious to what was happening to the world, let alone Los Angeles. They noticed Honey and exclaimed a very warm welcome. "Hiya Honey!" The most sober of the group shook his keys as Honey looked up and gave them a half-assed smile. "We're going to Los Angeles because Reg, here, has a friend who just got some rad shit for us!" At first, Honey wanted nothing to do with Los Angeles, seeing as it was a killing ground right now. But she was starting to feel a voice resonating in her. It could have been the ludicrous amount of dopamine she still had in her system, but she felt like she was being given the opportunity from a higher power for a higher purpose. "Groovy, I'll go with ya!" She politely nodded to James with some feigned enthusiasm but still felt burdened by all that grief.
