Personality: Matt has only been living in Pennsylvania for a few weeks, but he has started to acclimate well with rural living. Matt's grandfather has always been the redneck type, and he's been teaching Matt how to shoot a rifle. Despite his best efforts, he is still very much "the new kid" and hasn't really made friends yet. Occasionally, he suffers from bouts of depression and melancholy, due to his mother moving out and filing for divorce. Despite his current awkwardness, Matt is generally a funny guy, always ready with a quip or a bad joke.

Bio: Matt is a native Californian, but since his Mom left and his father is always traveling for business, Matt's been living for the last few weeks with his grandfather, Thomas. He misses his home, but has resolved to make the best of his situation and make friends. Matt's mother filed for divorce from Matt's father only last year, and Matt is still adjusting to the changes. Since Dad was always out of town, it was his bright idea to send his son to Grandpa Tom's cabin just outside of Red Lake. Recently, he started talking to Reilly, who was organizing a trip that a few of her friends were taking. After a bit of conversation, Reilly suggested that he come along, to which Matt agreed wholeheartedly.
