Right... well. I really need to rework this guy, then. Uh... I'll need to think that one over. I will say, I'm used to playing in settings of rather higher power than this one presents itself as, or at least ones where the PCs start significantly stronger than the layfolk, as opposed to "merely" somewhat stronger. So, er... I'll think about how exactly to depower him, and get back to you on his abilities and biography.
