Uh its a Concert/Jazz Band class which would be a music class.

I indicated it to the others about a month ago it was going to be a Concert Band class and later merged to be a Jazz Band class but only a few took notice.

Different styles doesn't even begin to cover it, you might as well ask her to learn guitar or piano cause at least those new instruments wouldn't cause problems in her violin playing by introducing playing styles that directly contradict each other.

Yes indeed a few took notice and all of them told you it was bad idea. Besides as far as the school is concerned your class was registered as music giving the students no indication that it was so completely narrow minded in teaching method. You're not trying to accommodate Sapphire at all, accommodating her would involve teacher her the instrument she came to learn. What your trying to do is alter her function because you don't have the knowledge or the experience to know how to actually deal with a violin player. What would you have done if Merlin was still present in the RP? After all he was a violinist same as Sapphire.
