I personally prefer the more subtle colors.  Then it still stand out and makes the post look nice, but it isn't real flashy.  My favorite text colors are the light blues, yellows, and pinks/reds.
So, I like when you use the lighter blue.  (Plus blue matches your avatar, and that does wonders for my OCD)
