Aya's eyes widened in recognition when Nate named who he was looking for "Oh! Yeah, I know Jackson and Kuro. I haven't met Mu yet, but apparently that's a good thing." Aya gave a small smile, happy to help. Or at least, happy to have something to distract her from her embarrassment. "I can go look for him, if you like. Just take care of my body, would you?" Aya snapped her mouth shut when she realized what she said and felt her cheeks warm again. "I mean… just make sure no one throws a frisbee at it or something." And then she couldn't close her eyes and snap over to the astral plane fast enough. Good lord, that had been a train wreck. Now invisible to everyone around her, Aya lifted a hand to her face and pinched the bridge of her nose. She sighed and opened her eyes again to see Nate in front of her, outlined by stars. Stupidly attractive Nate. Aya just shook her head at herself and looked around her immediate area, searching for Jackson or Kuro or… whoever was in charge right now. "I'm not seeing him," Aya said, making sure her actual body spoke the words. When on this side, it was difficult to get her body to do anything at all, but she could speak at least. "Hang on, I'll look around." With that, Aya walked around. This beach seemed unending, and Aya had no clue which way to go, so she just picked a direction and started walking. There were people all around, talking, playing, laughing. Aya felt a sense of peace she hadn't felt in a long time. What on earth was this place? Feeling that she wasn't making any progress just walking down the beach, Aya looked towards the ocean. Some people were already in the water, on floaties or just swimming. Movement in the distance caught her eye – some frantic splashing or other. Curious, Aya walked over, (she'd always wanted to say she'd walked on water) squinting to make out the figures. She heard the voices before her vision cleared enough to see who it was that was making such a fuss. "Can I stab this fool in the face?" Her eyes widened in recognition. Jackson. Three… Jacksons. "Uh," she said to Nate, "I think I found them." She snapped back to her body and opened her eyes to look up at him. "There's three of them. Like, in different bodies. It's not supposed to work like that, right?" [@subject zero]
