Winter kept her face blank as she looked up at the captain. He was a tall, imposing man who was even better than her at keeping a pokerface. Under it though, he was a good, reliable sort who was more forgiving and compassionate than he seemed. After all, he'd even agreed to take Winter in, once upon a time. She owed him more than she should be comfortable with, but the captain was one of the few people in the world she wholeheartedly trusted.

On the up side, the crew had a blast, though that means we can never dock in Ballard again."[/color] The corner of her mouth quirked up in what could almost be called an amused smile.
