When Winter headed up the captain's office, Taran had taken the time to bravely collapse on the ship, take a few seconds to catch his breath. The it was only after he hit the ground that he heard the jewels clanking and remembered the jewelry he'd stuffed in his pockets. He reached into his pockets and pulled out a handful of the stuff. Most of the necklaces had gotten tangled up into a ball and, but the rest of it seemed to have survived. It was nice stuff, both the new stuff and the old stuff. Although the old stuff was clearly created for a much younger woman, probably by a lover or a someone trying to court her. The new stuff was much more gaudy and it seemed...more conventional. Something a son with a lot of money had his assistant pick out the day of his mother's birthday. Taran took a moment to untangle one of the necklaces that caught his eye, it was one of the older pieces and probably the most expensive of the older piece. Full of diamonds and sapphires and other stones he didn't know the name of. But what he really liked about it, was it made all that wealth look so...simple. It was elegant, like it didn't need to prove anything. Taran broke another one of the necklaces trying to free it. When it was finally out of the tangled mess of chains, he spared it another glance before sticking it alone into one of his pockets and the rest of the jewelry into the other. Finally he stood up and followed Winter to the captain's office. Half saluting the Captain behind Winter's head as she requested orders, showing that, he too, was ready to make their escape.
