@DJAtomika Your post was not too short. Quality comes before quantity, but to a certain point. I don't know how I feel about the first-person writing, though. I've seen it before, but never been in a roleplay with someone that does it. For now, write however you want and we'll see how things play out. I'm just not used to it in this kind of setting, that's all.

I'm sure a name for our squad will present itself naturally! You all had good ideas and suggestions, but we'll keep at it, see where it takes us.

Looks alright. Eric's actually kinda between Aurelia and Wren though, trying to break it up before it gets worse, as it normally would. XD

@Archangel89 It was perfectly fine. As long as you are happy with your own posting performance, all is well. It might have seemed exaggerated in any other setting, but that's the beauty of Final Fantasy-themed stories – they don't have to be fully realistic or believable. Besides, I can't stand nerd bickering about what's realistic or not... especially in fiction.

I will probably write a 'conversational post' today. A short one that just replies to the dialog, but doesn't advance the story. I want to give everyone a chance to write their introductions before we move on.

I did a search on pinterest for outfits that Selene could perhaps wear. But, obviously, the colors aren't correct. Selene only wears black, and her scarf is much longer and flowy than those in the pictures.



I think Selene and Aurelia have a similar taste in fashion.

Wren wears pretty simple clothes when she's not suited up: tank tops, plain t-shirts, jeans, and boots. She doesn't try very hard with accessories, either -- maybe a dog tag necklace to really scream "military casual" -- so all in all you should have an easy time drawing her outfit. :P I have a reference image for where all of her scars are, if you need it.

Oh jeez, you hit me right in the army with that one. If she were wearing military issued boots and tucked in her shirts she would be the poster child for what we call a "boot." AKA the soldier that's all shiny and new, wanting everyone to know he's in the military now... it's not a bad thing, it just struck me as funny because I've seen so many guys dress like that in my too many army days.

Also, I'm going to try to get up a post later today. Hopefully. I got volun-told to work this last weekend, so while I didn't have time to actually write out a post I've got it pretty much all up in my noggin.

@DJAtomika So, you're from Singapore? That's cool. I've never been there. What's the army service like, is it difficult?

@Everyone
Don't be afraid to post shorter conversational posts, as I prefer them over extensive collaborations. I usually advance the story once every 1-2 weeks in order to keep a steady pace. When I GM, I plan the stories in the form of 'game levels'. For example, in a game, you usually discover an area/level in which you do a couple of quests/missions before you move on. So, the area/level right now is Nautilus and the dropship. Also, don't be afraid to explore the environment and the NPCs in it. If you have any specific ideas that you are unsure of, just contact me or @JJ Doe and ask if it's okay! We don't bite.

@DJAtomika That makes us international siblings-in-arms! Cool beans. I think I've actually worked at bit with a some of your guys when I was doing disaster relief in New Zealand a couple years back.

@clericbeastSorry to hear you're not feeling good. Get well soon! If there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that there is nothing drinking a bunch of water and taking ibuprofen 800's can't fix. It's like duct tape for people.
