For tournaments it'll come down to host preference. In [i]Way of the Warrior[/i] I had it at every three days you can auto connect a hit if you've already attacked(say last post you threw a punch and three days later no reply). Problem ultimately is WILL they actually try and finish like that. 

For the rest. That's between both parties(or all involved)
