In the process, they became close friends, and when Roberto was eventually found inoccent, he was determined to repay Jason, as Jason had defended him for much cheaper than any other lawyer had offered to. Bio: Roberto was the son of Tunisian sculptor, Laman Hakimi, who lived and worked in Madrid, where he met his Spanish wife, Roberto's mother, Rosa Bargas. Despite the fact Laman produced some amazing sculptures, he did not make too much money, so Rafael was raised in a relatively small home. Roberto, despite his families' lack of riches, did not have an unhappy childhood. His parents cared for him and his extended family was small and tight-nit, all very caring and kind, but they were all on his mothers' side. From an early age Roberto showed a great appreciation for music, and appeared to be a good singer. When he was eight, his parents dug deep in to their pockets to buy him a guitar, which, from that day on, he spent most of his spare hours playing. When he was eleven, his mother passed away from a serious sickness. He found this extremely hard due to how close his family was. He began to be involved in street crime, gang violence and many other dangerous habits in his teen years, as his father rarely left his office, spending most of his time working on his art, trying to detach his mind from thoughts of his wife. Roberto grew apart from his family and was quite alone, suffering from depression and anxiety, spending half of his time alone in his room, playing his guitar, and the other half on the streets. At the age of seventeen, Roberto had completed his education - school had not been easy for him, he was intelligent, but he did not pay attention and spent most of his time sitting back and listening to music on his cheap mp3 player. He then began to work in various low paying jobs, too self-concious to try and launch a music career, depsite his talent. After failing to maintain a serious job, he decided to continue his gang lifestyle on the streets, earning money through illegal means. When his father had a serious heart attack and was put in to hospital, 23 year old Roberto rushed there. Realizing that his father was going to die, Roberto said his goodbyes and promised that he would redeem himself and become a good man. His father passes away, and for the next year and a half, Roberto put all of his effort in to raising money legally, deciding that he would move to America and follow his dream of becoming a musician. After becoming fluent in English and having a good amount of clean money in his pocket, he made the move to New York. His luck would be harsh, however, as he was falsely accused of being an illegal immigrant. He became very angry at the stereotypes that were thrown at him due to his Muslim heratage. He then ran in to Jason Hunt, who offered to defend him for cheap, he gladly accepted and the two became close friends. Some months after having his name cleared by Justin and settling in to New York, Roberto received a call to join Jason in Miami, he decided to accept and made the move south, believing that fate had finally decided to be kind to him and that his musical career would soon pick up. Personality: Roberto was quite lively as a child, but his teenage years have shaped him to be quite a calm, contained and thoughtful person. He rarely shows much emotion and prefers not to speak of his past, avoiding the subject of his family and his criminal record. He is relatively friendly, if someone is kind to him he will return the gesture, though he tends to have fewer friends than most, as he does not make too much of an effort to keep in contact unless they really mean something to him. If he is insulted, he will bare a grudge, and will avoid someone, but he is rarely drawn to aggression - when he is, however, he is explosive and violent. Relationship?: None, he has left all of his ties of that kind behind in Madrid Other: *Fluent In English, Spanish and Arabic (First Language is Spanish) *Was raised as a Muslim, as his father was devout, but does not practice *His only prized possession is his guitar
