Eden looked off to the side as he pressed for a better explanation. "Alright.. I went to talk to at the Malt yesterday since I had talked to everyone about why they were avoiding you but it was like you already knew and didn't care. You were just... different... And it got worse... Aya came out at one point and started to try and talk to but.... You just punched her... She was out cold after that and I went to check on her and got between you two. At that point you were about to hit me as well." She paused for a moment shifting her feet uncomfortably.

Eden glanced briefly over at Marlon before looking to Donovan. "That was when your dad came in... He shot you before you could attack me and then you ran off out here.. And I don't think this was a one time thing either... The whole town is scared of you because of stuff like that... Evan and Carly had similar stories..." She fell quiet now giving a small frown.

Donovan sat and listened intent on hearing Eden out about what had happened to affect her in such a way, not to mention his did who was not easily worried. His expression went from concerned to mortified hearing what he had done and how he had been acting without any knowledge of it. The fact that there had ever been violence coming from him scared him to death because he knew just how much damage someone his size could do. He looked up at Marlon who more or less apologized with his whole expression and Donovan gave something of a nod of forgiveness and thanks for stopping him in his tracks before he hurt someone else. The pang of guilt got much worse hearing that his other friends hadn't been lying but actually telling the truth of something that he wasn't capable of believing. He straightened himself out looking down to his own hands which started trembling as the truth revealed itself and the look he gave back to Eden was filled to the brim with all of the guilt and self doubt that had been building up until this point.

"I...I'm...I don't know what to do. Everyone was right then...I have turned into a monster." Donovan said not taking the news well almost seeming to just go numb with the sudden resignation of realizing how horrible things had gotten and dealing with the sudden weight that hit him.

His whole expression showed his thought that it was him behind all of the terror and it was crushing him.

Eden frowned as she watched his reaction. She hesitated for a moment before slowly walking up and sitting down besides him. "It wasn't you though.... And whatever it was only comes out during the night it seems.. Which means, we can find a way to fix this so it doesn't happen.." she said giving an optomistic look. She tentatively reached out and rested her hand lightly on his arm.

"We can explain the situation to everyone else now too. I'm sure we can get them to at least accept that you're still... you during the day." she went on with encouraging words. The truth was that she had no clue how to go about fixing this or where to even start. Figuring out the answers to that would have to come later though.

Donovan did start to get a hold on himself, if only a bit, as Eden was doing her best to convince him that it could get better and might be fixable. Needless to say he wasn't as optimistic but he trusted her words and that her and his father would help even with such a complicated problem. He had sort of withdrawn before Eden had started to try to bring him out of it and didn't noticed she had sat down until she put her hand on him. It reinforced the fact that she still trusted him despite what he almost did...what the other him almost did. Explaining to the others was going to be an interesting proposition, there were some who probably would not be able to forgive him, though if anyone could get it across it would be Eden and Marlon.

"If you have enough faith we can do it I suppose I should too. I'll probably have hell to pay in town but if it helps I'll take it." Donovan said feeling a bit better but not running off his own willpower, more like running off a vague hope that it could be fixed.

Donovan gently put a hand on Eden's after a couple minutes feeling composed enough to maybe get up and walk back with her and Marlon who walked over himself.

"You look like you got the weight of the world on you but we'll be there every step of the way to help you shake it off." Marlon said wanting to add his own two cents to assure the boy further.

Donovan decided to stand back up which he did slowly but held on to Eden's hand to help her up, just wouldn't be right to not help her. Once he was up he figured they would get him back to town so they could start to sort things out and his father giving him a grip on the shoulder made him feel like the man was just glad to have his son back. It occurred to him after the fact that Eden might want her hand back and in typical fashion her released her hand feeling a bit stupid, and mildly embarrassed, for forgetting something like it again. Though its absence made him realize he was cold from being outside during the night which made the walk back more agreeable so he could warm up.

"Suppose I'm ready now. If you two want to start me off, I'm still a little foggy." He said willing to move on with Eden and his father.

Eden nodded in agrement with Marlon before standing up as well with Donovan's help. She was glad to see that her words had helped him. It must be hard being in his position and she understood that it would take a while before he recovered from it completely. Not to mention the would have to come up with a solution to this issue.

She didn't think much of him forgetting to let go of her hand. Though once he did she took a couple steps ahead. "Alright... Lets get out of this forest then.." she murmured. She had noticed just how cold he was and decided it was best to get him out of the cold. The day would be hard enough anyways. "So what do you want to work on first?" she asked looking unsure as to what would be their first move. There seemed to be plenty of things to do now. Talking to people to explain things and more.

"I feel like making amends with our friends. They obviously got it bad and could use some good news for their sake." Donovan said figuring it would be as good a start as any and very much wanting to fix what had been undone.

He moved up with Eden and Marlon to start the walk back, it wouldn't take long he figured, and he thought about what he could say if Carly, Evan, Jackie, and the rest would even listen to him, he had a feeling Aya and her father might be more interested in seeing him shot. This time he had help in the form of Eden who was far more likely to be able to get through to them because they still trusted her. His father would be able to reason with the older half of the town rather well because he stopped his son where almost no one else tried. It would probably still take time but getting the word out would get him back into favor eventually and help people know that there was still a good side to him. Donovan had been making a concerted effort to clear his mind just to help make the trip as quick as possible so they could get back somewhere warm and because being out in the forest was making him a bit uneasy.

Donovan would do his best to keep a good pace as they started to head back to town not going to fast or slow but enough to warm up slightly along the way. He wasn't sure where to find many of his friends because of the separation so he hoped Eden would be able to figure that part out at least. Marlon would most likely leave them to it and do what he could on his side hoping for the best.

"Alright... We'll talk to them first then." Eden said in agreement. She thought of Carly, Evan and Jackie. Surely they would come to understand once things were explained. There was a certain level of faith that Eden had stored in them and it made her doubt that they would refuse the actual situation at hand. Eden understood their fear now but she also came to know better than to believe Donovan had just suddenly changed for the worst. She side glanced at Donovan and gave a discreet sigh of relief.

Soon the trio came to the forest's edge where the town began. She was partly glad to be out of the woods now and came to a stop infront of the parked cars nearby. "Wanna talk to Carly first? Her place is the closest at this point and she the most likely to answer right now.." She asked Donovan before her gaze flickered over to Marlon. "Are you coming with us?" she asked him, unsure what his own plans were now.

"It wouldn't hurt, she tends to get around a lot too so if she helps it would be easier." Donovan said sort of contemplating just how Carly might act if she were to turn around.

"I might be able to help with some of the older folks around. I'll leave you two to deal with the rest of your friends and the younger people." Marlon said feeling sure he could best help them by defusing more of the adults who would be rather surly given the whole situation. "I'll call back in a bit to see how things went, you stay safe."

He gave them a wave before heading to his own car, it was old but still got the job done, so he could head out to do more damage control to ease up some tension if possible. Donovan looked to Eden afterwards knowing that her presence would be necessary to convincing the others because he would be hard pressed to expect them to listen to him alone. He figured she would probably drive them back to town and from there they could figure out the visiting arrangements after Carly. It brought to mind that both Evan and Jackie would be harder to crack, he had physically attacked Even and had a feeling some terrible things could have been said to Jackie. It was going to be a hell of a time but it was needed to try and undo some of the damage the other him had done in a few months.

"Alright, we'll see you later then." Eden said giving a small wave back as the older man left. She then turned and walked over to her parked car. It was a dark, green Honda. An older model but it appeared to be in good shape despite the age.

"Carly it is then." She said opening the car door and stepping inside. She paused for a moment and took out her phone to text Carly, asking if she was currently at home. It took a short time for the other girl to reply with a 'Yup! :D Are you coming over?'. Eden replied saying that she was but left out the tiny detail that Donovan would be with her. She figured it was best not to say anything until they could properly explain the situation. Eden closed the door and buckled up before looking over at Donovan to make sure he had done the same before starting up the car. Discreetly, she turned on the warm air before beginning to leave, knowing how cold Donovan had been.

"You know... I'm sure the others will be more than happy to know that all that happened wasn't really you..." She said still staying optimistic.

Donovan took the passenger side getting and shortly having to readjust the seat so he wouldn't be uncomfortable. He never had been a massive fan of cars, not when he could walk anywhere in town at least, but he figured it was a pain to have to constantly shift things around so he refrained from getting one. He saw Eden text Carly having a feeling that she may or may not have stretched the truth a bit but he could have been wrong. When the heat went on it got to work thawing him out which he tried not to make a big deal of, not a fan of complaining about things like being cold, but it was probably for the best since he wouldn't have done it himself. His seatbelt was on a few seconds later, the door having been closed once he was seated properly, though he wasn't exactly worried about an accident in town but you never know.

"Even if it wasn't me that other person is still around ready to cause trouble, I can understand why they might not trust me with that. But if they know I'm still around it could calm them down I guess." Donovan said sort of thinking about it from his friend's perspective but having a rare lack of confidence.

If the first visit had results it would make him feel a bit better and he really hoped it would go well enough because if they couldn't convince Carly it would show the impact of just how much the other him did.

Eden gave a small sigh and nodded. "I suppose..." she mumbled looking ahead at the road as she drove. "But it should do a bit more than calm them down...They're still our friends after all..." She sounded slightly unsure of herself as she spoke. Afterall, it seemed that only her and his father actually took into account that there was no way Donovan would act like that normally. Perhaps it was just due to the situation and the fact that he hadn't been able to attack her at the time.

She shook her head, briefly clearing away such thoughts. Before long the apartment complex where Carly lived came into view. Eden slowly drove into the parking lot and stopped the car. She started to unbuckle herself before she paused and looked over at Donovan. "I'm sure things will work out with everyone... Maybe not right away but if we give them some time..." she said in a reassuring manner before opening the car door and stepping outside.

Carly's room was on the bottom floor to the right. She had given Eden the address the day before with clear welcoming to drop by whenever.

Donovan realized how negative he had just sounded and made a mental note to keep his mouth shut, he figured it best to keep it to himself for now. There was a bit of uncertainty to be had though what with the overwhelming reaction most people had to Donovan but really he hadn't talked with them barely at all since they tried to get him to believe something was wrong in the first place. The silence was equal parts his fault a much as his friends for both sides shock at the other but it all revolved around him regardless. However, there was still hope that despite everything that they were put through his friends could be reasoned with now that he knew better than to doubt them.

"Time heals all wounds...I think that was how it went at least." Donovan said remembering a quote he heard once doing his best to agree with Eden but ready to talk with Carly.

Donovan looked at the apartment building as he got out of the car which gave him the awkward thoughts of if he locked the door and other less important subjects. He lightly shook his head really not wanting it to bug him and would follow Eden to Carly's door where he stood behind his friend to the side. It didn't entirely surprise him that Carly got a bottom floor room given that she was probably in and out of the place often enough that being a couple floors up would be less convenient, one thing Donovan with his third floor apartment knew all too well. Him standing a little off to the side was just a way to sort of silently announce his presence hopefully without terrifying Carly and to give Eden a chance to speak before he was formally noticed.

"You think she already made breakfast or just decided to make it for both of you?" Donovan said managing a light grin, he felt like he had to lighten up for Eden's sake, which was scolded by his stomach which roared at him a bit for thinking about food, it wasn't without warrant because he didn't have an appetite the rest of yesterday what with all the excitement and his episode.

Eden smiled up at him and shrugged. "No telling." she responded. She turned her attention back to the door and gave a small knock. It was only a mere second before a cheerful "Cooommmiiinnggg~!" came from an all too familiar voice. Before long the door swung open to reveal Carly. She was a few inches shorter than Eden with curly blonde hair and pale skin. Big blue eyes blink up at Eden with welcoming. Carly had yet to notice Donovan standing behind her.

"Hey Eden-" Carly greeted but suddenly fell silent as her gaze locked on Donovan for the first time. A look of terror came over her. Carly suddnely gripped Eden's wrist tightly and tried to pull her into the apartment. It seemed she had clear plans to shut the door once her friend was safely inside.

"Ah! Carly wait! Let me explain!" Eden said resisting the other girl and pulling her arm away and usng her body to block the door from closing shut on them. Eden didn't quite expect to have to be so forceful but she had to act quick. "Explain?! You don't need to! Why you would even bring him here is crazy! Don't you know how he is now? He's not who you think he is Eden! He'll hurt you! I told you-" Carly quickly began to protest before Eden interrupted.

"I know, I know! But you've got it all mixed up Carly. He's still himself... Just not at night which is when I'm guessing he attacked Evan and talked to you like that. Please just relax for a moment..." Eden said pleadingly. Carly looked at Eden then flickered her gaze to Donovan. There was still a hint of fear and she seemed to be watching him to see what his next move would be before she would listen to Eden.

Donovan listened to the impending arrival of Carly who was definitely not in the know that he was going to be there as well. He had many fond memories of the three of them hanging out or having a good laugh over something or other and one or two of them flashed for a moment in his mind. It was the look on Carly's face when she locked on to him, he had sort of guessed it wouldn't take long to notice him, that hurt him a bit just recognizing the blind terror in her expression. It was more than awkward for him watching the smaller girl trying to pull Eden into the apartment in what her mind was likely an attempt to save her as Eden tried to talk. It took a bit of work but Eden seemed to get Carly to stop trying to close the door but it really was all on him from there when the smaller girl looked back to him still afraid but more reasonable than a few seconds ago.

"Shes right. I wouldn't be here if she hadn't stopped by." Donovan said softly but with purpose keeping eye contact trying to get it across as best he could.

Donovan was mostly harmless which generally was well projected in his manners, the way he spoke, and most of all his relaxed if a bit down body language. If Carly could see it and put it together just how different the other him was it might be just enough to get her to let her guard down for a moment to let Eden speak and be listened to.

Carly still held a cautious look in her gaze as Donovan spoke but there was an undeniable change from what she remembered. She turned her head to Eden, looking slightly more willing to listen. Eden gave a sigh of relief. "From what I know... It has something to do with that incident that put him in the hospital... I wasn't here obviously but I'm working on figuring out all the details.. He's still our friend, Carly.. It's only at night that you need to worry." she said in a calmer voice.

Carly looked at Eden skeptically. "I-It makes sense but... but have you even seen what he's like?" she said with another flash of fear. Eden frowned and lowered her gaze. "I have... I know it's bad and I understand why you're afraid..." she paused and lowered her head and voice, "I still am too... He nearly attacked me but... but that isn't Donovan." Carly frowned looking sympathetic.

Eden lifted her head again and gave a determined look. "We're going to stop it though, whatever it is.... But we need time to find a solution and understanding from everyone else." she told Carly. Carly still seemed a bit reluctant but her fear had lessened. "I... I can help spread the word..." she mumbled glancing at Donovan. She almost seemed a bit apologetic. "But.. I'm not sure..."

Donovan was glad that Carly was able to separate him from the other personality, it felt good to know she was able to clear her mind enough to do so. He listened to Eden start to explain going off of his accident but it seemed more like she might have been referring to whatever hit him in the forest, not the truck though that didn't exactly help. The little discussion over what he was like at night made him uncomfortable very easily what with his lack of memory at night and while Eden knew it wasn't him the whole event still seemed to impact her like Carly. One very prevalent thought in his mind was that if he ever got the chance to meet this other personality is that he would do everything to rid himself of it for everyone's safety including his own. He could feel the reluctance coming off Carly in waves but he thought off something that might help her feel less so, and help his conscious.

"You shouldn't have to feel sorry Carly. I'm just sorry I didn't listen to you sooner about what happened to me and now that I know its true I need your help to stop what has been hurting people, I can't let there be more pain anymore." Donovan said getting some of his own guilt out which helped lift him up a bit but what was most important was to let Carly know just why he needed her help because any more injuries or terrified people was going to be more than he could take without a response.

Carly gave Donovan a small nod before looking off to the side. It was clear that she was still unsure about the situation but in Eden's eyes, unsure was better than complete fear like before. "It's alright... I'll help as much as I can but I don't know..." she mumbled nodding. Eden gave a thankful smile, knowing it would take a while before the other girl felt completely comfortable around Donovan again.

"Hey, it's a start and that's all we need." Eden said giving a small nod. Carly looked at the ground and shifted her feet as a small silence came over. "Ah... Would you two like to come in and have breakfast? I was about to start making it.." she offered politely. "Sounds good to me. I can help you cook." Eden said then glanced over at Donovan to see if he was up for it.

Donovan was happy enough that Carly agreed, the other him had definitely left a mark, but it was not going be an immediate thing readjusting to the fact he was himself during the day. It was just a fact he would have to deal with but it was a start and it didn't hurt to make a good impression though he might have pushed it a bit. He knew Carly would mostly be talking with Eden which was fine given the situation and the two of them could keep good company even if he was off to the side a little. He heard Carly offer to let them both in for breakfast, something he needed more than wanted, and was certainly up for food at this point.

"That'd be great, I'll leave the cooking to my betters here and go sit down if that's alright." Donovan said sort of laughing at his lack of ability in a kitchen, he really was bad unless it was very simple.

Donovan would promptly go to find a chair to plunk down in once Carly allowed them inside partly to relax, he had been a bit tense, and to sort of look around from his seat. His back and side were still aching so it might also numb it down again just a bit to sit.

"Alright.. I hope bacon and eggs is fine. I don't have much for anything extravagant." Carly said looking over at Eden sheepishly. She clearly stayed close to Eden, seeming a bit nervous with Donovan around. Eden tried to remain both supportive and cheerful for both of their sakes. She smiled at Carly and nodded. "Of course. Thanks for even inviting us in." she said as she headed into the kitchen with Carly.

As they began to cook, the distinct smell of bacon and toast began to fill the air. Eden felt her stomach rumble at the scent, alerting her to her own hunger. She looked longingly at the cooking food. Luckily it wouldn't take very long to complete. "Uh.. soo... Who else have you guys talked to? Who are you seeing next?" Carly began to question, looking slightly more curious now about the situation. Eden couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and happiness as Carly began to show her true colors again as she was interested in the gossip of the situation.

"Sounds great." Donovan said very much interested in breakfast and looking forward to eating with Carly and Eden.

He couldn't help but feeling ravenous while listening and smelling the cooking bacon and toast which was really the only thing on his mind. It was going to be a given that Eden would have to mediate between the Carly and him but he would give the smaller girl the time she needed. Staying his distance was fine for now to help the girl's nerves which he didn't want to upset and it let her just digest what was said. Given Carly's nature it was only a matter of time before she would want to know more now that she was less stressed out, it was her way and it led to some interesting stories or information in the past. He soon enough guessed it right hearing the question and thinking about it for a moment wondering himself who would be a good next step.

"Your the first person we thought to talk to. I've thought a little and Evan might be next, not sure what to expect from him after everything though." Donovan said a little unease there remembering that he had apparently given the guy a similar treatment to Aya.
