Even if you understand that Muslims are normal person and no matter how deep in the middle of Detroit a black can be from he can be a venerable individual. But still, to the bulk of people there's going to be enough of a cultural stigma surrounding them or you that there's going to be a sort of rejection of the other enough so you're not going to marry. You'd have to be from the same neighborhood, or otherwise disowned. In one case it would be considered marrying down, which ties into the money discussion here. The other is simply "dem murslums are da distursted typ". We can try to ignore it being American on the pretense that America is the melting pot of nations and we accept the best of all nations. But really that's an excuse to hide the realities we're still dividing ourselves up and merely slowly integrate what's acceptable to pop-culture at the time from which is slowly weens itself into main-stream permanent society.
