"Wonderful" thought Miki when she saw a panicked girl get into the bus and start honking the horn. She had to pause a moment to think about her next move  

She hated it but she saw only one choice left open to her so she stopped the cart and pulled one of the three bats free. Then taking a deep breath she summoned up all her energy and walked slowly towards the bus.

The horn was attracting the horrors but it was also distracting them as well and as she walked up and swung as hard as she could cracking a former student's skull. She knew that she needed to keep moving in pattern that didn't allow them to bunch up behind her so like a prize fighter she moved in a backwards circle pivoting to catch a look behind her after each swing of the bat.

As she cracked open their skulls and dropped them Miki felt a surge of energy pass through her and as strange as it seemed she was getting more an more excited. She was laughing and screaming out in joy as she cracked open her twelfth skull. The energy that helped her win at swimming gave her an edge as she became a blur of motion.

[B]"Die, die, die, die!"[/B] she shouted as the bat made a pleasing sound with each impact.

Miki was drifting in a blood haze as she dropped her twentieth horror. She'd stopped retreating and was attacking the monsters that were once human like her.
