Under Construction!

This world is changing. The conflux approaches. But the world is not ready for it. Not yet. The next short step will, in its measure, encompass the fate of all Enduwin. All that rises, must converge. It is the way of things.
Name: Set Sex: Male Age: Apparent mid-thirties.
Set stands at approximately one point eight meters in height, possesses a lithe build, and his complexion suggests a desert heritage. His face is taut and lean, with pronounced cheekbones and orange eyes. His hair is long and black, usually styled as a mane draped across Set's shoulders and back. Set has a second face in the middle of his back, usually concealed by his clothes and hair, which always shows his true feelings and can only speak the truth. It is always conscious and aware, even when Set himself is asleep, unconscious, or comatose.
Personality: Set is the very picture of the cordial and loquacious gentleman, with a meticulous nature and an eye for small details plus a seemingly infallible memory. Although generally polite, he is also straightforward and blunt, and does not obfuscate any point he may be trying to make. He has seemingly endless patience, both literally and figuratively, and would be perfectly alright with standing in one place for hours on end while congenially listening to somebody else insult him the entire time without ever taking offense.
Set claims to have been born in a dilapidated desert country, explaining his lack of a birth certificate and details regarding his childhood and education. He further claims that he was raised by a Priest of Trayig, who provided Set with an informal education in mathematics. He says that upon adolescence, he left his country of origin and obtained work as a filing clerk with a regional Iris office. After several years of working at the same position, Set became the unofficial office plugger, gaining access to paperwork and information that was otherwise several rungs above his paygrade. One day, as the story goes, he found a report on an ancient desert ruin found near the border of the region, and pictures of runic symbols at the sight inspired Set to embark on a highly illegal tombraiding expedition, whereupon he quote discovered the boundless secrets of the desert unquote. He then claims to have spent a decade and a half wandering the desert as a bum sage before sensing the approach of The Conflux, whereupon he traveled to the city posthaste. Somehow the part where Set is wearing an extremely expensive looking tailored silk clothes and actually used air quotes for the secrets of the desert bit makes you think his entire 'history' is bullshit.

A cane made of stone? It might possibly be magic. Who knows? At the very least it's probably handy for bashing in heads, and it seems unusually durable. Oh wow, an actual Shotel. Looks a little impractical, or at least hard to use. Probably also magical maybe.

Set's magic seems to be rather unimpressive and low-key. Even moreso when he usually just gets flustered when asked to perform on the spot. When I finally came right out and asked him, he said he could control ENTROPY, whatever that means. You've noticed though that, amongst other things, Set doesn't seem to be affected by bullets or bludgeoning. He just stands there and soaks up the blows (he goes out of his way to evade knives and other sharp objects though). He also seems to become physically stronger and tougher when there's power generators, transformers, and fire in the vicinity. You guess he has some sort of potential energy manipulating magic that lets him repurpose ambient energy in the environment for his own purposes, which probably also means he can sense it from a distance. It's apparently not limiting to him hulking himself out though. There tend to be a lot of odd drafts and conveniently hurricane-force gale winds in his general vicinity if you get my meaning, which is to say he can probably store and project kinetic force in the form of atmospheric shockwaves. You'd bet anything he has other forms of energy manipulation too. You wouldn't be terribly surprised if he has a few elemental controlling powers. As an aside, that second face of his, apart from being able to creep you out, seems to have better vision than he does. Set himself doesn't seem to be able to see through illusions, but his second face can, and similarly it seems like I can never lie whenever I'm talking to it rather than Set himself.
Skills: Set seems incredibly talented mathematically, combined with a meticulous and not to mention relentless amount of attention to detail plus an excellent memory. He appears to have been a fencer at some point if how he handles that Shotel is any indication. His seemingly infinite patience, combined with his meticulous nature and mathematically oriented mind, allows him to perform techniques and actions which require precise timing and which might otherwise be considering impossible for most people.

Name/Aliases: Sex: Age: Appearance: Personality: History: Optional Information Equipment: Faction (If any/applicable): Marital Status: Magic (If applicable): Skills:

Name: Charis Sex: Female Age: 27
Charis is a firm believer in might makes right. She will take whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. Extremely confrontational, she will deliberately escalate any social conflict she is involved in to the point where she either asserts complete dominance, or violence ensues. When not taking things from other people or trying to start fights, Charis tends to be highly goal and work oriented, more concerned with getting the job done as efficiently and quickly as possible. She detests idle chatter and waiting around doing nothing.

Charis was born in a third-world island country caught up in civil war. Mistaken for a boy, she was kidnapped and made into a child soldier at a young age, and through a series of incidents she got through by luck she quickly gained more notoriety and attention than was healthy. Her true gender was discovered shortly afterwards, and she was forced to kill the militia leader who had originally conscripted her before fleeing as a stowaway on a cargo ship. She disembarked at port in a neighboring country, where she found employment as a militia guard for a sweatshop. Already used to senseless violence and intense social confrontation, Charis shot and intimidated her way to the top of the admittedly small social hierarchy of the town she worked in, and made a job as a gun runner when she was sixteen. She vanished several months later, seeming to vanish off the face of the Earth. She first reappeared three years ago working for a PMC based out of Lethavania, shortly before leaving to attend to a contract job with a corporation looking for talented troubleshooters. Since then, she's been running around leaving trouble and bodies in her wake.

That's some pretty sleek looking ballistic armor. What kind of gun is that supposed to be? That looks like a Bō staff with weighted ends. Getting hit by it probably hurts. Shit. Flashbang grenades. Why do these Black Ops types always have flashbang grenades? ...Paper talisman? She wears around a dozen of them, all hung on a strap across her hip. They look like normal printer paper, except water seems to slide right off them. The sigils she's drawn on them hurt to look at, and you swear they squirm around when exposed to light.

Charis appears to be able to use her paper talisman to temporarily suppress magical effects, both localized and personal. She'll slap them onto walls to cancel out any charms that might be active in the building, and she'll tag people with them to either suppress or at least weaken any magical tricks they have. The talismans themselves appear to be disposable and intended for one use only - the ink literally seems to bleed off the paper whenever they're activated, and tearing them off or destroying them doesn't seem to prevent their influence. The actual duration of the suppression seems to vary depending on the Talisman used and what is being suppressed.

Bōjutsu Master: The Bō staff Charis carries around apparently isn't for show. Once she gets going, Charis turns into a hurricane of flips, kicks, and spinning weighted Bō. I'd be hesitant to engage her in melee combat at all, even if I had a weapon of my own. Something gives me the impression that would just be playing to her strengths. Blackout Operative: Charis appears to have specialized combat and tactical training, allowing her to outmaneuver her enemies while controlling the overall flow of battle. She also has experience fighting in severe conditions, pitch dark, and her training also allows her to react quickly to new developments, making it much harder to take her by surprise. Materiel Guru: Charis appears to be familiar with proper handling, maintenance and use of a number of modern weapons and armaments.
