My only concern is the plasma swords.  They would take huge amounts of power, so they wouldn't last long, seconds (for a lightsaber style) or minutes (if they were confined around a core as the edges and sides).  I assume he got them from the bandits he was "adopted" by, as they'd have their pick of the best tech, but why did the bounty hunters let him keep them?  They would be worth a lot of money.
