"Fireses must continue." He said keeping a firm grip on his much, much lighter bag. Truly he needed to get more supplies, and quickly. Besides that little speech, Boom stood patiently and quietly as the Fairy approached him. He very much wanted his physical injuries fixed up.

He listened to the melody as his torso and face felt a bit better from the acidic burns he sustained earlier. The Kokiri grimaced a bit as his shoulder joint was popped back into place. And the rest of his bones found themselves patched up.

The Kokiri listened to what the Fairy creature said. Boom took a moment to glance at the incredible and luxurious mane that was all over the place. He turned to his side, "We he-" He immediately glanced the other way and hissed for a moment. He then grumbled something randomly before glancing back at Dingle. "Deal done." And with that Boom placed the much lighter sack on the ground as he got to work.

Glancing upwards, the small creature grabbed a tuff of Dingle's hair and jumped upwards. It attempted to get high enough to push it back in.

And that's when the Ironwood Deku spoke, and appeared somewhat agitated. Boom, while he continued working with Dingle's hair, made sure to keep an eye out on how the situation would progress.

If he needed to beg, he wouldn't hesitate to. "Supplies, more needed. Especially on our part."

Baux looks down at the groveling Boom, and scoffs. Though he recognized their plight, he was not sympathetic to it. After all, what's five more deceased fleshlings, if not a good thing?

"It's not my fault you wasted your own supplies in the fight. Forage for your own food, little Kokiri. We do not have anything your kind can put to use, anyway. It is customary to slaughter any fleshlings we come across; do not think our allowing you to escape with your lives is a usual occurrence to the Ironwood."

Boom realized, he spoke louder than he intended to. He actively stated how, he needed supplies, in front of the bloodthirsty Ironwood Legion. This, was truly one of his most bad of mistakes. Not counting the many, many misdeeds he committed while in the Kokiri Sinkhole. After helping put a few more bundles of hair into place, Boom picked up his light sack as he gave a quick nod to Baux, before glancing back towards No Point. Hopefully he would try, arguing any further with these benefactors. It would not be wise to fight against an army, when they already just did and were low on supplies.

"Boom aware of much kindness given. Do not expect food from strong legion, who already give us passage. Appreciative of Ironwood for gestures of knowledge and allowing of passage, yes."

With that he did a quick cursory glance, to see if the Ironwood Legion had moved in such a way to allow them safe passage through.

Underneath his mask, No-Point smiled. For some reason, it appeared that the Ironwood Deku had given him the answer he wanted.

In fact, any answer was the right answer to the question he had asked.

"I thank you for your information," the warlord responded, before returning to the rest of the group. Now he had a new piece of information to mull over, a new variable for his master plan.

Baux looks at the assembled Caravan with distaste. To think that such a vital task as defeating the Naga could be attributed to such a party of flesh-traitors, beggars, and brutes was almost unthinkable.

"Those who have questions now have answers. My patience has worn thin, and my warriors are growing restless. You have what I have deigned to give you, and so we are finished here. Clear the way for them!"

The Legion's ranks split, and the way out of the Sinkhole is open. Thinking wisely, you take your leave and are swiftly out of sight before long. When you stop, you find yourself in a gently-misted glade. The slowly-setting sun gently glimmers through the treetops, as daylight burns.

Three Hours Until Sunset

The Sinkhole is as inaccessible as it will ever be. The sun is setting. You have some descriptive but largely unhelpful answers from the Ironwood Deku. The only question is... what now?

Boom glanced at the assorted group. "Boom need supplies badly. We needs to go somewhere with townses. Not here, here bad. Very bad." The kokiri noted with a nod as he lifted up his fairly empty sack. He paused for a moment as he looked around. "Thing that Speaks Only Pain missing methinks." Boom noted in a fairly bored manner.

With a childish grin on his face he raised his right index finger. "We should go to Nu-Goro. Good supplies there. Also shinies. Lots of shinies, least we remembers it being spoke of." Boom swayed his head back and forth as he tried to remember that story Thwap told him. Well before the exile and when life was dull.

After a moment of contemplation, Boom spoke up with a bit of nervousness in his voice."...We not goings to Fungus yes?"

Raisa spoke up, "Boom is right, we should go to Nu-goro first, we are poorly provinshened at the moment and a town would be a good place to stay the night. My vote is with the Korkiri." she said decisively, she had no desire to see what creatures inhabited this place after nightfall.

"We will not make it to Nu-Goro in three hours," No-Point informed the rest of the caravan. "We will not even make it back to the Tumult, where we will be safe, in three hours. No. We need to find or construct shelter now, and be on watch. It will be a long journey tomorrow."

"Boom didn't says when Caravan get there. Boom just says we go there." The Kokiri noted, as he frantically glanced to his sides. He flicked out his tongue and licked at his teeth. In his mind he had another devious thought about what to do upon hitting the Tumult. Then, Boom took a look at his sack.

He didn't have nearly enough to start his spree. Glancing down Boom hissed. "Sssstupid notfun Sinkhole! Badbad Guardian!" The Kokiri began stomping his feet on the ground as began growling out. "RRRRRRRRRRR!" Truly, it was a bit of a temper tantrum from the Kokiri.

He turned to his side as he began speaking frantically, "B-but we got to make shelter." Glaring, Boom glanced towards his other side, "We needs supplieses. Now." Slowly he turned his head to the other side. He spoke nervously, "But the night will not let us. S-shelter means we keep surviving."

The Kokiri paused for a moment as he glanced again to his side and began hissing. "Thinkssssssssss we not knows that? We knows survival. Hhhrngh! Fine, we wait for travel to right place."

Boom lifted up his sack and swung it back over his back. "Yesss we needs shelterses. We searches in the woodses for it?"

"...Why search? We already know where my fountain is."

Dingle finished bunching her hair back into the pointy bit of her unitard, looking over to the fungus deku.

"And we've already got a guide."

Boom paused for a moment. The fountain was clearly not shelter, and it was stuck in a most horrid landscape. However the thing would most likely not cease in yammering about it until they get there. And more importantly, learning about, whatever this fountain was would give him more information concerning the woman fairy.

And knowledge was power. He had no qualms about gaining what knowledge could be gathered there, which would become of use to him in time. And of course, following along would help keep up relations, which was useful for Boom. "It better haves shelter." The Kokiri noted, as he scurried to follow the Fungus Deku.

"Then we must proceed," No-Point stated clearly. He had put off the idea of shelter as soon as the Daughter of Tingle had spoken. This plan would be better than his.

"Daughter of Tingle, please guide us to the fountain. We must hope it provides us enough shelter before we return to the Tumult."

"Erm... Right, give me a second. Uncle Linebeck taught me a lot about navigation... Accounting for what's left of the trajectory of the sun..."

Dingle snapped her fingers.

"Also, get the shroomdeku in a cage again! We'll know we're close when it it's getting agitated."

"Betterhaveshelter. Betterhaveshelter. Betterhaveshelter." Boom began speaking out as he followed Dingle. He kept a good hold of his bag as he hissed out. "We are bored." Boom turned his head to the side as he spoke up nervousily, "B-but we have little to start the fire." Realizing that yes, he had little supplies, the kokiri gave out an annoyed huff.

"Not good. This not good." The creature noted.

Three Hours Until Sunset

Deku safely recontained and party gathered, you set off in the direction of the Fungiwood. Following the savory smell of molds and fungi, you brace yourselves for the journey ahead.

The familiar sound and smells of the forest fade away, as you walk. The air grows dry and musty, thick with errant spores. With little other choice, you press on through clouds of spores, wincing as particularly thick regions explode against your ranks. Though only some of the Fungiwood's growths are harmful to humans, the feeling of spore-dusted clothes is still unpleasant.

There is little to see in the Fungiwood. Thick clouds of spores mar any clear view, and what little can be seen is awash in a sickly pallor. There is no bark on the trees around you; their sides are as smooth as a stalk. The dirt at your feet is hard and starved for water. Gently-luminescent toadstools emerge in small outcroppings amongst some of the more decrepit giant stalks, like tubeworms around a volcanic vent. The only life you can see is faint flickers of tiny troglodytic insects, silently worming their way into openings in the giant stalks they call home. It seems that, whatever might live down here, it has gotten used to not seeing the sun.

Though you feel you are on the right track, exploring the Fungiwood is a dangerous and confusing procedure. If you do not finish soon, you fear the toxic spores of the Fungiwood's inner spheres might take their toll on you.

Boom's eyes widened in horror; he was horrified by the nature of this place. Full of nervous tremors, Boom began quickly turning his head. "Here!? THERE!? HERE!? THERE!? WHERE! WHERE! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!?" The kokiri hissed out in a nervous fright. The kokiri scratched at himself as he was becoming agitated by the spores. "Badawfulplace. DOUBLEBAD. DOUBLEBAD PLACE! FLEEEEEEE!"

And so, the creature clamped down onto Dingle's leg, and began pointing in a variety of incoherent directions, before taking off in fear.

"FLEEEEEE! BOOM FLEES!" He kept a good grip on his bag as his cowardly nature took over.

Two Hours Until Sunset

You feel that you're going in the right direction, but...
The markings on that tree look familiar. Have you been walking in circles all this time? It couldn't be, that tree's markings are completely alien to you! You briefly stop to assess your surroundings and regain your sense of direction.

A cursory glance at the map you've been making as you went reveals nothing special. Deep in the woods, the only way to recognize one's surroundings is by way of landmarks, and there aren't too many of those deep in the eternally-stagnant Fungiwoods. You're at least thankful that the cool blue these bioluminescent fungi lets off is better for reading than the sickly green tint you've been seeing everywhere else.

What did that Ironwood Deku say about fungi that glows blue?

"...Running water. Does anyone hear running water?"

Dingle checked her map. Yeah. That wasn't there before... and the tree in front of her was carved with a 'For a Good Time Call' message instead of a filthy poem. They were on the right track.

Blue spores, running water, signs of civilized life... you're close! Ears peeled, you follow the noise of the soft trickling of water. As the sound of running water grows louder, the blue spores glow brighter and brighter, until you're very nearly blinded by them! Shielding your eyes, you press on through the corona of blinding light...

And find yourself in a decrepit grotto, devoid of any signs of care. A large, dry basin extends through the middle of the area and under an overgrown cave's lip. You can just barely make out humanoid shapes through the humongous fungal growths jutting out of the area. A large boulder appears to be blocking an opening further into the cave.

You wager a guess that this is the Fairy Fountain. It's a shame that it's in such a state of disrepair! Perhaps you could fix it up, some, and make camp for the night?

Time for collaborative action! There are three tasks that need to be completed before the Fountain can be considered "fixed". You will be required to use your cliches to solve these tasks. Anyone can try, and you don't have to focus on one task at a time. If someone wants to complete the last task while someone else wants to complete the first task at the same time, that's completely okay. If there are multiple people working on a single task, the highest roll has the lower rolls' 6s added to it.

The tasks are, ranked from least challenging to most challenging:

Restore The Statues (Difficulty 10)

These statues are absolutely disgusting! However, you can see a faint, magical glow beneath the fungus. You're gonna need to scrub the fungus off the statues before you can put these statues to use... whatever that is.

Replenish the Fountain (Difficulty 12)

Truly, one of the saddest sights in the world is a dry basin. In the past, the fountain was probably fed by some stream from further in the cave. Now, it appears to be blocked off by something. Maybe you could find out what's stopped up the water?

Reveal the Cave's Mouth (Difficulty 14)

There's a cave connected to this fountain, but it's blocked off by a boulder! You'll need to find a way to move this hunk of rock before you can check it out. Maybe there's treasure inside!
