A/B)Military/Culture Dawn, her red light broke over the horizon and cast it's glow across the sky in tendrils of light. The tribe was asleep, their stomachs full of bread and fish and their minds full of dreams of their new home. But a handful of the tribe members were not there, Voltus and twelve other men and women had ventured out into the Steppe under cover of night. For hours now, the group had been tracking down horses, following hoof prints and snagged bits of mane but it seemed that their hunt would come to nothing. Demoralized they decided to turn around but as Voltus took the first step back to the tribe-lands, he heard it. A whiny in the distance. Voltus snapped his head behind him and his blue eyes went wide, horses rose out of the grass, some large and strong, some thin and spindly but elegantly shaped. He gestured for everyone to get to the ground and they did, getting onto their stomachs, they slowly started to shimmy to the horses until everyone had chosen a mount and was right beside it, they waited for their sovereign’s orders. “Now!” He barked and like stalks of grass they rose from the ground, each one subsequently mounted horse and they started to whiny and buck around frantically to rid themselves of the unfamiliar weight but everyone held on, grabbing tufts of mane to keep themselves onto the horses. Voltus did the same, his fur kilt flapping around in the breeze; he had chosen one of the spindly elegant mounts to match his frame, and it was thrashing wildly beneath him but slowly it started to calm down, as did the other mounts. Once they were completely calm, everyone produced a fistful of hay and brought it to the muzzles of the horses and they ate rapidly, having only woken up and hungry from a night of not eating. Voltus, kicked his legs and the horse responded by starting to walk, the others did the same as their riders kicked. Then they kicked again and the horses started to run. The riders whooped and hollered in ecstasy as they rode their newly acquired mounts around the Steppe but as Volts turned to check on his fellow riders, his happiness only grew. The rest of the herd was following behind them and straight to the village. Summery: 33 Horses Acquired.
