The Genevites began to gather and organise, doing first what seemed most natural to them; Felling the trees and building simple fishing boats. Maybe they were still unsafe and the boats would provide them with a path of escape. More importantly they would provide them with a means of fishing and the felling of trees would provide them with some living and working space. The men would fish both by angling and by net. Maybe they would get some more knowledge of their whereabouts in the process, though the intention is to follow the fish rather than the coast or to explore.
