The Saurians seem to be living longer, healthier lives now, thanks to the efforts of newly found herbs and fungi that improve the power of their bodies to fight sickness. So they decide to try something else out. They cry out to a higher power other than themselves. The old men, old women and young children begin having visions of a giant Tyrannosaur that speaks to them. Eventually it grows arms like they have. . . During the visions, one of the men in the village, a one hundred year old man, still healthy, without disease, sacrificed himself to the jaws of the giant Tyrannosaur, that they name [b]Tak[/b], so that the rest of the people be spared the wrath of [b]Tak[/b], being wiped out. 

The next morning, the benevolent but suddenly wrathful [b]Tak [/b]was all that they had on their mind. The man they all loved the most in the village, Uroth was gone. Vanished. His wife said that he disappeared during the night, having a dream and talking in his sleep. Uroth had begged Tak to grant the Saurians greater knowledge and power, the power of magic. Tak's magic is based on reptilians, dragons, dinosaurs and scales, tooth, claw, tail and the breath of the dragon.
