I was trying to figure out how old Kai is, but I can't really get a feel for it. Maybe it doesn't matter. How long do you think the kingdom of Alberyn's been around? I was kinda thinking like a century or two, but in terms of Elves that wouldn't be very long at all...

By "dissuade the Baroness", did you mean a diplomacy mission, or fighting her troops or something to distract them from Laflur's castle?

In your first post you said it was Baron Devon that was going to attack, but in your second one it was Baron Heath Kathy...?
(At first I read Janus as Janos, like Janos Slynt from A Song of Ice and Fire. But anyways...)
