Kayla Kirby
It was cold outside, but at least Kayla hadn’t gotten lost. The temperature around here was really strange- the air was cold, but the sun was very very hot. She.. didn’t really like the combination, she preferred it to just be warm and warm, or cold and cold. At least the trees were good for shading her. A sunburn would be bad. Kayla had been keeping to the trees that lined the path up to the school. She had been trying to get outside and explore for the past week, and today was the first day she wasn’t stopped by some staff member that desperately needed help with something. Strange- All the staff had been acting strangely since the power outage that ruined her party plans, being very nice at some points and not nice at all about seemingly random others. It was really weird. Today, though, she was free, finally. Today, she decided she’d explore along the paths she didn’t have a chance to see thanks to her seasickness. It really was pretty; The whole thing was lined with unlit stone lanterns, which gave the whole thing a mystical feeling. She imagined it would look really nice at night, and made a mental note to visit at some point. Eventually, she reached the end of the main path, which led to a building of unknown purpose. It bordered the sea, perhaps it was some sort of beach house? Strange- Perhaps this was where the principal lived. It didn’t look much like a house, though. Did houses usually have green chimneys? Wait- it just moved? Kayla went around to the other side of the house to get a better look. Upon further inspection, there appeared to be an alien with a heart on its chest sitting on the roof of the building. She stared- She couldn’t actually make out any of its features, her eyesight wasn’t the best, but it was definitely an alien, and she had no idea how to handle a sudden alien sighting. She guessed that the heart meant it was friendly, but that could just be a trick to try and get her in position to be abducted. Kayla disregarded that, though, because much more important was the possibility of having an alien as a friend, which would definitely be the coolest thing ever. Ever. The alien seemed to notice her, and turned its head towards her. They stared at each other.
