Oh, in regards to world building, I kind of want to make some antagonists or just bad guys. I want to have more fun with spells, see, and the forbidden affinities are begging to be played around with. Or at least NPCs, I have some ideas for stuff. I just want to play around with what I can do, basically.
Wow! Catch up guys! I've already made an entire species! (JK) XD But in regards to what Oswald said, I've got an idea for a few obscure beasts, outside of the ones that I feel are almost a given in Protea (*cough, cough* Dragons *cough, cough*) Here's one
Aumalynchos are massive duck creatures that have a nasty habit of popping in unexpectedly. These guys stand at a whopping 15 feet tall (on average). They tend to have white or brown feathers and can be found wandering Protea in groups of 4-6. They are incredibly aggressive towards basically everything, even other families of Aumalynchos. So what makes them unique? These ducks are able to breathe fire! Not impressed yet? It's golden fire and anything touched by these flames turns into a wonderful pirate snack (gold). In addition, all Aumalynchos have three green venomous feathers on each wing. These can be used as projectiles, but unfortunately, using all six will cost an Aumalynchos it's life, similar to how a bumblebee dies shortly after using a stinger. These dangerous feathers will either be blue or green. The brighter the color the more venomous the bird is, and green feathers are always more venomous. They are easy to train by magicians using simple mind control spells (the birds are fairly simple minded creatures), but anyone else will find training an Aumalynchos more trouble than it's worth. They are fairly uncommon, and according to some followers of the Pantheist church, seeing one on the ground is supposed to be horribly bad luck, but seeing a family in the sky means that you have been blessed. Despite their aggressive nature, an Aumalynchos diet consists of primarily roots and grasses. They will eat meat, but only when desperate for food.
*Edited so it doesn't sound like I'm Billy Mays. Added some additional info while keeping it moderately humorous, but not quite as over the top as they were before.*
