also he has told no one the name of the new warband, including his inner circle (you guys) and was gonna reveal it after the barge was secured and on its way to the eye

@Warbozz GM mentioned that he didn't want to reveal the new insignia and warband name until after the coup. You'll have to check out with him to see if the first part of your post is okay, or maybe prepare to re-write that section.

I'll tackle a post when things get a little fired up, I don't want to busy Quel with some idle task when another persons post might depict some damage much more worth Quel's time.

Amphion's mutants are cool, I think. Since they don't number forty-six thousand.

I agree, Plus you noted that they're going to be heavily hit during the battle in the bridge.

That 46k remark made me laugh pretty hard though.

I wonder if that's going to be a recurring joke.

I thought the exact same thing.

The title should be changed to Whispers in the dark (WH46K Chaos space marine RP)

I hope the GM doesn't mind if I control the warband's Fourth Claw: Sergeant Sorthraal, Havoc Malgadon, Berzerker Bas and Battle-Brothers Vorax and Udan.

I've just read the Night Lords trilogy and this style of writing is awfully addictive.

What's the story with the Night Lords than? I assume they've fallen into chaos, but why are they so opposed to the dark gods of the warp? Is it through a scepticism of their existence or more a scepticism of their power? My WH46K is limited to wiki articles and the games, but I've pursued the wiki quite thoroughly, and find myself loving the universe more than I imagined so far.

I understand the reader/player perspective draw of the Night Lords, a group of Chaos Marines whose turn on the Emperor was more out of principle than the allure of power (Or so I've interpreted thus far) but it seems slightly odd in the lore perspective to me that they'd be not only undevoted but sceptical by virtue of their very legion. It just seems to me quite a few 'corrupted' and 'tainted' designs are important to the Chaos Space Marines now, such as in their architecture, vehicle design and unit rank/power progression, do they have a way of getting around these things or are they more relaxed when using daemons to their own advantage.

Also I guess you should be careful about spoilers, I may not read the series but others here might.

@Jyoliod

The Night Lords hate being controlled, because they are the ones who control through fear. They see devotion to and corruption from the Ruinous Powers as a sort of enslavement, when Chaos should be a weapon they wield with impunity. The daemonically possessed Captain Vandred of (what remained of) the Legion's 10th company insisted that he "controlled this." And a Legionary Khornate Berzerker even had the gall to say that he "worshipped nothing," and that he was using Khorne's favor as just another weapon.

I highly recommend the novel series. Even though Talos, Cyrion, Uzas and Xarl are self-admitted murderers, traitors and sadists ("If there is a Hell, I will join you soon, brother,"), and you can't really put away all the innocents they kill across the books, you learn to empathize and sympathize with them. I found myself quickly coming to cheer for every loyalist or xenos kill they made, and worrying over the cracks in their armor after every battle.

I also learned that even chaos marines can crack a few jokes here and there.

“Nice sword, Night Lord,” the Terminator rasped, gesturing its storm bolter at Aurum pointed at his chestplate. Talos sighted down the golden blade, reading the lettering across the warrior’s armour: FALKUS, in faded indentations.

“Please,” Cyrion voxed over the intra-squad channel, “tell me that rhyme wasn’t his attempt at wit.”

I'll have to look into the series then! I'm a huge fan of high-fantasy but have only ever given very few iconic Sci-fi books a shot. But given what I've read thus far into the wiki, I'm sure I'd enjoy the series. Just to clarify, what you refer to are these books here correct?

I'm glad to hear it and thank you for entertaining my questions. ~ It makes me think Quel's obsessions and attitude are slightly more justified now.

I actually pirated the books. Thank goodness for the Internet, otherwise I'd never have read them. If you'd like, I can teach you how.

I know that feel bro, Its been some time since I could afford to buy black library books, last was "Eye of terror" by Barrington J Bayley, I recommend you to read it if you come accross it, It has WONDERFUL depictions of chaos while 60% of the story revolves around downtrodden rogue trader on his way to make serious cash by travelling into chaos worlds in the eye (You can only imagine how bad of an idea that was)
