It's okay. Gin has laid the basis of the plot for us and we can develope it as we go on.

He could end up being someone we'd have to fight, that he amassed so much power in the time it takes for us to track him down that it required all six of us to take him down
Perhaps he found what he thought was that weapon but it was something dark and corrupted instead, like how Thorn was a corrupted weapon before you cleansed it. It corrupted him and made him a vessel of the Darkness :P
