I've only just seen the replies about the law enforcement because my internet was playing up. I hope my character doesn't contradict the lore, and I hope you like him :)
Character Theme – The Rains of Castamere (Western Style) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eli stands at about 6ft1 and weighs around 14st. He has a decent enough physique but certainly nothing to brag about. He likes to dress smart, as it makes him feel more important. He tends to wear black trousers, a black waistcoat over a white shirt, and a red tie. In addition to this he wears a black leather duster, a belt holster and a rifle holster that slings over his back. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【Full Name】 Eli Schlusser 【Alias】 The Regulator 【Gender】 Male 【Age】 38 【Sexuality】 Straight -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【Personality】 Eli is a cold and unforgiving man, and in all honestly, not overly likable. What does tend to redeem him however is his love of hunting demons, and many people will gladly deal with his bullshit if it means that he’s helping them. In fact, he likes fighting most things and will resort to violence with little excuse. To say that he’s a villain or a bad guy is perhaps a little strong, as he’s not the kind of guy to stab you in the back or the kind of guy that would steal off a baby, but it’s hard to argue that he’s anything but a nasty piece of work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【History】 Eli was born and raised in a small mining coal mining town called Stone’s Reach, a fair distance from the capital. He was the eldest of five sons born to Roach, the town’s Sheriff, and Melisa, a talented magician whose powers were wasted on mining. Growing up his choices were limited and he knew that really he could either follow in his father’s footsteps or work the mine. Perhaps not surprisingly he decided to go with the former. As a result his father taught him to fight and to shoot as he was growing up. His father was not a kind or patient teacher though, and any mistakes made by Eli were normally accompanied by smack or a whip. By the time Eli was eighteen he was one of the best (if not the best) rifle shooter in the tiny town, and could outbox the majority of men around him. In addition to this his mother taught him how to harness his own magical abilities, and like her he was able to learn how to move the earth around them. Unfortunately he has been unable to learn any non-earth based magic, despite years of trying. Things in the town started getting bad around the time he became a deputy, as demon attacks along the trade routes got progressively worse. Stone’s Reach did not harvest enough to feed its own population, and only through trading coal for supplies at the capital was it able to survive. One day things got so bad that Eli and his father were forced to guard a convoy themselves along with a group of paid guards. The job was a success and the convoy made it to the capital with little problem. However less than a day after arriving another man from the town arrived. He claimed that not long after the convoy left Stone Reach that the town was overrun and destroyed by demons. It was hard on Eli and his father, although neither of them showed it. Knowing that the two of them were relatively qualified, they both joined up with the Capital’s Police. Eli served in the Police for nearly two decades, even after his father passed away. He gained a reputation for being an officer that took no shit and who used a heavy hand; this eventually earned him the nickname ‘The Regulator’. Whilst some more conservative citizens were content with his harsh brand of justice, others were not, and to many he was seen as little more than a thug with authority. All things must come to an end though, and it was after Eli beat up the wrong guy in a back ally that he was kicked out of the police. In truth he was lucky not to get some formal punishment, but he had friends and he knew things that some people would rather him keep quiet about. Over the last few years he has turned to bounty hunting, and to his delight has found that he can be as violent as he wants with demons and outlaws in the wild without anyone giving two shits. Although he misses the comfort of his old life, he regrets not turning to this line of work a long time ago. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【Weapons/Tools and Magic】 Weapons/Tools Outlaws’ Bane – A lever-action repeating rifle. It is a beautiful rifle that Eli considers to be his most valuable possession, and as such he regularly polishes and maintains it. It was a gift from his father and on its stock there is a symbol that his mother inscribed. It is pretty accurate (especially in Eli’s hands) and allows him to channel energy so that the bullets travel through earth. For the most part this magical ability is only really useful at shooting through certain types of cover, but it also seems to add a tiny bit of damage to demons. It can hold six rounds at a time. Revolver – As well as his rifle, Eli is always sure to keep a pistol on him. These don’t tend to have the same sort of attachments to him, and therefore he tends to cycle through them. At the minute he is using a six chambered revolver. Hunting knife – Eli always keeps a hunting knife in his boot. He tends to use it more as a tool than as a weapon, preferring to use his fists in a melee. His fists – Eli is a decent boxer, and generally an all-around good fighter. No doubt there are many people that can kick his ass, but he’ll certainly put up a good fight. Magic Eli’s abilities all revolve around the movement and control of earth. He tries to avoid using his powers when he can because they can fatigue him, but more often than not he is given little choice. Earth wall – Eli is able to shift earth to create a make shift wall. This is incredibly useful in a gun fight because it means he is able to erect cover at will. However the denser and heavier the earth, the harder it is for him to move it (and therefore the longer it takes). For example he can erect a wall of mud quicker than a wall of stone. When combined with his ability to shoot through earth, it means that he can even shoot without looking out (although his aim is obviously much worse as a result). Early grave – Similar to the previous ability, Eli is able to suck earth downwards. This is slightly harder for him to do, but can be much more useful. He tends to use it to trap his enemies, by grabbing at their ankles or even by burying them alive (thus the name). Rock thrower – Eli is able to throw small rocks rather well by having some limited control of their trajectory. He can’t make them float or anything, as his powers (at the minute) have more of a dragging effect than a lifting effect.
