[@RPGSlime]: So what about people? Like, can Ivan turn living things into gold? If so, that seems a tad unbalanced to me. 

EDIT: Also, what is the gold mixed with? Iron? Zinc? I hope it's not Titanium or your character is Iron Man. I recommend zinc, as it's fairly lightweight will remaining strong from what little I know of metals.
