Beth Carson
Beth waited patiently while Michelle closed her eyes and took a deep breath, figuring that something had just gotten under the larger woman’s skin and that she was attempting to calm down. In the meantime, Diego had stopped playing his music and the group of four had departed for an unknown destination. When Michelle spoke, Beth directed her attention back towards their conversation. She was a little surprised when Michelle mentioned the monster, as she was pretty sure most of the students were entirely unaware of the cause of the blackout the week before, but she let out a gasp when she saw Michelle’s hand missing most of its fingers and wrapped in bandages. Before she could ask what happened, Michelle explained that she had gotten into a fight with a monster while trying to protect someone and that it had managed to tear off part of her hand. Though a little nervous to be talking about the event when the staff had instructed them not to, Beth felt like Michelle deserved an honest response when she asked if Beth had heard anything about other monsters. Before she responded, however, she also took a look around to see if anyone was paying them any undue attention. Of course, the sight of a dwarf sitting on a couch next to an Amazon was interesting enough to draw people’s attention, so it was rather hard to tell if they were looking at them because of the conversation or not. ”Y-yeah,” Beth replied after she finished looking around, nodding. ”Me and a few other people killed one outside the cafeteria last week. It was really strong, though. Even being smashed with a vending machine didn’t stop it completely. I didn’t know that there was another one though.” In fact, the thought of there being more of those beasts made Beth’s face turn even paler than it normally was, as the feeling of claws tearing into her back, a remnant of her nightmare from earlier, came back. Hopefully, the school would be on the lookout so a pack of them didn’t just come in a wreak havoc, but the thought did little to alleviate her fears. Still, she couldn’t help but subconsciously slide closer to Michelle while she waited for the larger girl to respond, gaining some measure of comfort from being closer to the Amazon.
