Speak for yourself, but dinuguan just never worked for me. I guess I'm the weird one here.

And my family is in the area around Manila, so that's pretty much where I stayed when I visited for three months. Haven't been back since, and I barely remember the language (like seriously, a couple of words and phrases). It's a shame. I wish I was closer to my mom and that side of the family, but alas, it was not meant to be.
