Name: Anthony Anderson. He goes by Andy, though. For the alliterative appeal. Age and Grade: 16, 11th Grade. He’s a junior. Gender: Male. Definitely male. 100% male. [s]His parents wish that this was not so.[/s] Appearance: Straight black hair, and big, blueblueblue eyes. Pale-ish, smooth skin. A little on the thin side. Perpetually serious looking. That guy? Yeah, that's Andy. Standing at the fairly average height of just a little bit over 5'10", Andy’s a reasonably good-looking guy who… doesn’t put much of an effort into his appearance as a whole. His clothes are always clean, but anything more than that? Yeah, forget about it. Too much effort. So jeans and a t-shirt with a weird slogan every day it is, then. He likes being clean, and pretty much always smells like shampoo. He also likes watches. He’s almost always wearing a watch. That’s right, Andy Anderson is a sucker for a good-looking watch. (Watch fetish, anyone?) He wears glasses, too. Without his glasses... well, he can't see shit without his glasses. Contacts are an option, but he can't be bothered to put them in every morning, and so glasses it is. Well… that, or he forgets all together, and ends up stumbling around blindly. Uh, somehow." Personality: Confident, serious and enthusiastic— that’s the impression that straight-laced, straight-A student Andy Anderson tends to give people. Maybe he’s a little too serious, sometimes: he's kind of uptight and has absolutely no sense of humor, and takes even the most seemingly ridiculous things seriously. Teachers like him, though, even if a lot of his peers think he’s a little odd. Which... he kind of is. Okay, let's admit it. He'd a total oddball, especially when you get him going about his nigh obsession with the supernatural. You could scour the entire globe, and you still probably wouldn’t find a single person who spends as much time looking up urban legends as Andy Anderson does. He likes the supernatural enough to start a whole club about going looking for ghosts and monsters. So yeah. His social skills probably could use some work. He could at least try to pretend he liked football or something a little more mainstream than… the occult. Andy, you weirdo. On the bright side, he’s always friendly and generally a pretty nice guy. A little easily flustered. Don’t try to get him to crack any jokes, because… it won’t come out right. Backstory: Andy is a latchkey kid. It’s not that his parents don’t love him, of course, because they do, although they frequently express to him that they wish he’d been a girl so that they could have named him “Angie”. Still, he’s sure they love him. It’s just… they’re busy, and they’ve always been busy— both of his parents are surgeons, and as a result, they don’t spend much time at home. It’s hardly surprising, then, that Andy grew up pretty independent: he does his own laundry, he buys his own groceries, and he gets himself wherever she needs to go, all on her own. So, how did Andy’s fascination with the supernatural come about? Well, to be completely honest… a lonely little kid messing around on the internet can only go for so long without stumbling across creepypasta, and for Andy? That website quickly became his lifeblood. Soon, he found himself drifting through the sketchier parts of the internet for urban legends, and once he was hooked, he never looked back. Andy’s pretty much gone through his high school career striving to excel academically. His parents both prioritize academics above all else, and aren’t big fans of him getting distracted. But now that he’s in his junior year and graduation is looming on the horizon, he’s decided that it’s time for his to pursue his passions wholeheartedly… hence the ghost busting club. And he’s taking his club seriously, too. What? Ghost busting is serious business, okay? Skills and Strengths: - Andy is always very committed: to his club, to his studies, and to his friends. He’s a very loyal friend, and would never even dream of leaning someone behind. To him, his club is his family: he takes his duties as club leader seriously, and is determined to have everyone get along. (Here's a hint: they won't.) - Andy’s confidence is possibly one of his biggest strengths, because even if he’s not sure that something’s going to work out, if it’s within reason and the consequences aren’t too dire, he’ll probably try it anyway. - As far as leadership goes, Andy’s fairly charismatic when it comes down to it. He’s taken a few public speaking classes, and his perpetual confidence really helps when he’s trying to persuade people to do things. Like join weird clubs, and explore creepy haunted mansions. Yeah. - He can cook... sort of. When his parents aren't around, he mostly lives off of instant noodles and omelettes. - Andy is great at academics. He’s a straight-A student. Heck, he’d probably be a decent tutor, if you asked her. But prepare to be worked into the ground. - He’s also quite athletic. He could take most people in a straight-up fist fight. Flaws and Weaknesses: - Yeah, remember how I said that confidence is one of Andy’s strengths? Well, sometimes it ends up being not a strength at all. That’s right—sometimes, Andy can sometimes have a little too much faith in his self, and can be incredibly reckless… not a good thing when you’re trying to fight off ghosts or monsters. - Andy is an idealist. A hopeless romantic, in other words. He always sees the best in people, which is great, but it also means that he’s pretty gullible. He gets taken advantage of pretty easily, except when the supernatural is involved, seeing as that’s his area of expertise. - Some people can’t make jokes. Andy… Andy really can’t make jokes. Like, he has no sense of humor. At all. People frequently tell him to lighten up, and he’ll try, but it’s hard for him. So yeah— he has his socially awkward moments. - Can't sing. At all. Or dance, either. Or do anything particularly artistic. As a result, he's always really impressed by artistic people. - He’s [s]kind of[/s] REALLY messy. His room is a disaster. Clothes everywhere. Despite this, he takes great notes in class. - He likes animals, but they hate him. Unfortunate, huh? Quirks: - Has a phobia of chickens. Don’t ask why. - Actually has really great batting skills. The only problem? If you throw something to him, he will drop it. So yeah. - His singing sounds like the dying wails of a thousand cats. It’s bad. - He loves anything horror related. Horror movies, horror manga, horror anime, anything goes for him. - He won't admit it, but he also likes mushy, shoujo romance manga, and things that involve the power of friendship. - Bisexual. Yeah. Other: - Andy’s theme song! - Theme color, yellow!
