Watters just finished stabbing an Elite with her knife when Sophia radioed in. "Go ahead. I'll catch up." Watters pulled her knife out. "Quickest route?" Taber calculated while monitoring the Covenant Battlenet. "They abandoned their plan to destroy the engines, they are now heading for the escape pods." Watters began running. "Time?" Taber calculated. "Engine room team, will be a while. The one with the hostage is nearly there. He could abandon his troops and be off the ship in a matter of minutes with the hostage and whatever else he took. The elite is traveling through the maintenance tunnels." Watters switched the armor piercing rounds. "You can't shoot you'll kill the hostage." Watters grunted. "We can't let that hostage be taken back to their base, you saw what Halsey was capable of after she defected. This hostage may not be as intellectually gifted as Halsey nor cooperate willingly but after enough torture the hostage will cooperate. Taber you know the protocol after Halsey, all scientists are expendable if they could end up in enemy hands. I'll try my best to save the hostage but I will do my duty."
