Well, the problem for Jack right now was the mingling aspect, if he avoided talking with anyone and passed by with few words he should be able to easily mingle. His mind worked fast, but he could barely make a new personality for himself on the spot, but it didn't seem to be a requirement, so researching one wasn't needed.
