Everyone managed to clear out or thin out the horde of spiders, making it manageable for the time being. Maragi, Magaru, Mazio, Swift Strike, the smaller spiders didn't stand a chance, but it looked like more were coming, but it'd be awhile before they reached the same numbers they did just before. This was their chance to take down the large spider, which opened up with spitting venom at the party. Rui dashed under the spit with Askr's Sukukaja, and then hit it in the face with a Garu to give everyone a chance to advance on it. He suspected the abdomen was the weak point, which had the shadow mask on it.
