Raven tracked me down magically after she lost me after a theft.  During her investigation she found out about my sister, and, after beating me, offered to pull some strings on my behalf if I turned.  I agreed, to keep my sister out of orphanages and because I'd rather help people than hurt them (I just needed the money too much before, but now the League is paying me.)  During my "community service" she trained me to resist the effects of darkness more and, once I was done, she got me a spot on the team.  She also got Cyborg to build me the suit Dr. Light promised me and got Cyborg to upgrade it with hardlight shields that run on internal light (if that's ok).

How's that.
