As the Lupa entered the room, James looked up and came to full attention as she began to give them the details of their ‘chore’. When she stated the sad importance of their tasks, he mentally agreed. The dead would need a proper send off……. Remembering the moment he had come across the two dead bodies, James again felt the agony and anger rising in him. Whoever had done this…..he wanted to find them and gouge their eyes out. He glared at the floor while thinking this, until the Lupa said his name. Slowly his blue eyes rose to hers and he frowned; noticing something for the first time. This wolf was blind…..the way she stared ahead and spoke to them hinted of it. While others would have grown doubt of the female within themselves, James felt pride. To be blind and have a pack to ‘watch’ over was a very difficult past so he assumed. Realizing he would have to speak to let the Lupa know of his agreement he stood and smiled. “I’m ready when you are. I can do what is asked of me.”
