So because my character is blind he will be identifying people with somewhat different adjectives. If possible could people message me a very small description of the following in regards to their character. For some I am able to pick up on but I don't want to auto ID in case I miss something. Character Info
Scent - What type of shampoo do they use? Do they even shower? Perfume? Smoker? Anything that would tie into what they smell like in the scene and usually for when we are at the school. Voice - Do they have a high voice or a low voice? Is their gender easy to pick up on? Accent as well will help allow me to give as much description of how Devin hears and there for understands as far as your character goes. Is there normal speech faster or slower than average? Close your eyes and think about your characters voice. Body - Do they move around a lot? Fidget with their clothes? Are they someone who likes to pace or maybe play with their hands. If your character does something like use their cell phone a lot that can help. Those types of things can become calling cards for people as much as their face or clothes.
This would be a great help to me and allow me to write Devin's understanding and opinions of everyone to a much greater depth.
Scent Mason washes his hair with organic peppermint shampoo and conditioner, though he only does this about once a week; sometimes a little longer. He wears Versace Eros, the main notes of which are mint, lemon and apple. He smokes Marlboro White Menthol. His clothes are almost exclusively vintage and this type of clothing tends to have a distinctive smell. Voice Mason's voice is low enough to identify him as male, but his intonations and general manner of speech are soft, effeminate and what some would consider 'gay-sounding'. No lisp, though. His accent varies a lot. When he's meeting new people his accent becomes very neutralised and slow down in pace, becoming a near-comedic British stereotype. In more casual environment, he has a slight European trace in his accent, most notable in vowel sounds. Body Mason is a big gesticulator and moves his hands dramatically when speaking. When he's stressed or deep in thought, he rubs the thumb of his right hand in circles against his middle and forefinger. When sat down he often does passive, repetitive actions without realising, such as tapping his nails on a table or bouncing his leg up and down.
