I think I'll definitely wait for the first log post to be up before I draw inspiration for my own. <<
A little show and tell never hurt no one, huh?
Besides. I'm super curious on how deliciously things will go.

Monday to Friday will have my head.
@corneredbliss Thanks, doll. ;; <3

Also! Maria and Graven, I can almost taste the chemistry!

Couple of splodges are making their way into the Character Tab.

Now, one of you reminded me that there is a dining room in the House. Originally I had planned a proper formal, sit-down meal with all your smiling faces and the Wolfs, except this sounds like sheer hell to coordinate, rather than the bits where you all get to float off and do more or less what you want.

Is this something we want to attempt (given my sheer horror in the face of Unguided Group Conversations of DoomTM, or would you rather pass on it?

I like both ideas, actually. I could work with either of them. Working up to something like a dinner would be good, but as you said, everyone in the same room and conversations.

Mm, I think the dinner would be something nice to do, especially since we haven't had everyone (coherently) together in one place since the waiting room and it would be useful for players and characters to have finally met each other. We could probably figure out a way to make it easier for everyone, maybe a huge Google Doc where we can just quickly insert comments and conversations or whatever. We would need to make it somewhat short and sweet to avoid derailing terribly but essentially we'd all have met each other and that's what matters. It'll be incredibly weird but I think it'd be useful for the characters.

But if we vote against it, I'm totally okay with that, too.

I stand in favour of one big massive house party!
Basically, some time for all the guests to be able to interact with each other.
A giant Google docs sounds so wonderful, it definitely does.
For convenience sake, we could all write it as our own character perspectives and-
Lol, I think that's one massive collab. You might have to be the one posting it since it's not from any one perspective. Perhaps from the perspective of one Sol Wolf, eh?

That's what I think...I like the idea, but...but...
If anyone's against it, I'm good too.

EDIT: We're all online save Kirah!

Assertiveness? Never heard of it.

Edit: @TheMaster99 'Tis my preferred way of collaborating as well.

For the record, Jig absolutely despises collabs being written from multiple perspectives. That's why the Wolfs' actions/etc are never written out for you directly, they are stage directions which have to be written yourself, from your character's perspective.

Found this out in my first rp with Jig. And violated readily in my rp with Flav because I'm that kind of friend

Note that this won't be happening in the current section because oh god I'm not ready to deal with it.

I like the idea of using one of my characters as the POV, since it would be likely to be one huge post, but I am worried about it leaking meta-information if I ever give a clue as to whatever the character in question is thinking of.

Then again, if we all use the stage-direction system to get the 'blueprint' of the post, I can at least try to write it (you guys might be sick of doing all the work!), and if I just can't do it without leaking, there's no reason one of you couldn't do it instead.

This is most definitely true, but I've collabed with all of you now, so you probably all know. :P

I've never really seen the point of a collab that switches perspective between the characters involved: the whole point of a new post is that it has a new perspective, either by being from the same character perceiving a new event, or a new character perceiving the same event, or a new character perceiving a new event entirely. When the collab could essentially be broken up into different sections for different perspectives, I don't really see it as anything other than a bunch of smaller posts bundled into one for the sake of length.

Edit: Not that there's anything wrong with smaller posts. :P

Sorry was at the movies.

I like the idea of a Wolf being one of the POV characters.

Say, @Jig, which one of us started doing the stage direction thing first? Woll Manor was the first time I dreamed up the idea.

Well, it appears more or less decided.

Having only just caught up on Call's post, I'm gonna drop a totally not-really-anymore spoiler; there's something in the lake.

Though I must say, I’m terribly excited to explore the manor’s grounds tomorrow, I’ve been told there’s a beautiful lake nearby and I do love to swim.
Graven

Well-spotted and well-established that the lake may be receiving a proper visit, but it won't be any great surprise that when we do get there, I'm going to be shananiganising like a there's no tomorrow, so I'm going to suggest that anybody that fancies a dip have a particularly debilitating hangover so it doesn't happen during the log post.

While nothing is going to stop any of your characters going to the lake, I'm keeping this one up my sleeve, and so it will probably be something of a wasted trip, in terms of plot content.

I've been doing it as long as I've been doing collabs and I've been RPing eight years, so I'm gonna say I introduced it to you. :D

Hrk.

So uh, in the collab that @MyCatGinger and I just did, Lynn and Jonas totally did head to the lake. Not swimming or anything, just chatting. And sitting.

Post for Kim: She goes to the library and reads. If disturbed she's friendly and chats. Does not appear to be hung over at all, though the more astute will note she had maybe three total drinks.

I wish I were kidding... So if anyone would like to disturb Kim please do I'd be happy to do a collab with someone.

Hokay. Done posting. I'm pretty sure I'm putting Jonas on the short list of 'People who are most likely going to be permanently silenced very soon' but what's RPing without risk? Also if it seems like Jonas has a pretty light hangover for how much he drank, it's because I'm sick of writing him being so miserable...for now.

I put that letter in a hider mostly because it really just goes over what we know already. Jonas is just telling it to his sister.
